it was terrible. we sat down and it was 28 minutes before anyone came to our table. and they were not busy. we was setting upstairs. a lady came over to us and said i am sorry your waitress and her boyfriend just broke up and she is upset. that was so unprofessional her sharing that with us. at that point i was angry and got up and left and my husband and daughter stayed behind to talk to someone. it was just bad that so many employees walked by us seeing we had been just setting there and not a one said can i help you. i would not recommend going here.

The first time I ate here it was great. Second time we had our expectations too high! The drink was fantastic, the food was good, but the service sadly overshadowed it all. My boyfriend was so disappointed! It seems like they forgot us after taking our over and getting our drinks. Four tables were seated, waited on and served -even to-go boxes!- before our food even got to us. Our waitress hurried over 55 or so minutes after bringing my boyfriends appetizer to ‘check on' us and then came right back with the food. We came to the conclusion we were probably forgotten about. We will probably go back to give them another chance because the food was good!

Went with my mom for lunch, we were seated as soon as we got through the door. The atmosphere was light and cheerful. We got a booth which was toward the back, which was fine but I had trouble getting to the booth because the other tables were so close together. Throughout our stay there the waitress we had was respectful as well as helpful. Since it was our first time, we got recommended the founders, which had a little bit of everything. The food overall looked good and had a nice presentation. I don't like coleslaw, but I like how it was made, it was fresh. The corn on the other had was overcooked and was undoubtedly soft. The barbecue ribs were good and got spicy the more we ate them. The french fries were well baked and came to us light and fluffy but they were littered in salt. The skin of the chicken was crunchy and the seasoning gave it a kick, but the chick itself was on more on the pink side than the white side. Beans were fresh and had the right about of spice that just ticked the tongue. The corn muffin was sweet, soft, and fluffy on the inside. On the outside it was crunchy but not so much to where it over overpowering. It was a nice balance between the two.

Every time I eat here I always walk in expecting too much. We were able to sit in the bar faster than being seated in the restaurant. And that would have been fine, but our service was pretty slow. BBQ was decent, but nothing to write home about. I think there is better BBQ in Springfield.

Fast service. Soup was hot, meaty and plentiful. Brisket sandwich was a little salty but with bread and butter pickles a pleasant experience. Side salad big enough for two. Iced tea, bottomless glass all at moderate prices. Free chips to start. Easy on/off James River/South Campbell even at 5 p.m.
