My family just ate at Farmers Gastropub and we had one of the best dining experiences in a long time. I currently have dietary restrictions, which is why we chose Farmers based off their gluten free friendly menu. When we walked in we were greeted with a smile and kindness even though we had three littles with us. They placed us in a corner table to make sure we had room for our kiddos. Upon being seated Rachel our waitress greeted us with a smile and kindness. We explained to her that we had dietary restrictions and she immediately went to the kitchen to verify what was safe for me. Rachel continued to be kind, compassionate and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience. I can’t thank Farmers Gastropub and Rachel enough for her kindness to parents who truly needed a little lunch out and how wonderful it was. If you are looking for excellent food, and even better service Farmers Gastropub is the place for you!!

My wife and I stopped in after some holiday shopping at the mall. We had been meaning to try the place based on recommendations from others. However after being seated in the bar area, we looked at the menus and waited for someone to greet our table. After close to 20 min waiting for anyone to come to our table, no one did. My wife who was facing the bar, noticed the bartender looking at her a few times thinking maybe someone would be over. No one did. We got up and left, as we were walking out my wife let the young man who seated us know that one came over. He didn't seem overly concerned, but why should he? He doesn't own the place. Tons of restaurants in the area, doubtful Farmers Gastropub will get a second shot.

This place knows how to make real fish and chips.The scotched eggs are legit. The service is top notch.At this point not real sure that I will be eating and where else in Springfield.The cream of mushroom soup is home made and the best I have very had.I highly recommend everyone to try this place.

Had several FB recommendations for their fish sandwich, but I was disappointed. Was hoping for their fish and chips, but not on the lunch menu. The blackened cod was disappointing. Very small, thin piece of fish with way TOO much bun. I wanted fish, not bun. Fries were good.

Atmosphere and service was great, the food… terrible. We sent my wife’s steak back because is was not cooked the way she ordered. When they brought it back it was still wrong and literally had no flavor. My fish was so greasy that you could press the fork against it and the grease would squeeze out. We showed the manager and he seemed to think that it was ok. Paid for our drinks and left. Will not ever be back. If you go. Don’t get steak or fish.
