I loved Houlihan's in the late 1990's when there were some in St. Louis area. One of my favorites was the baked potato soup. So when I saw a Houlihan's in Springfield today I was excited to try it again. I was disappointed. It was more of a watery cream soup than potato soup. I had about 6 small pieces of potato in my large to go container. For a watery cream flavored soup with shredded cheese and bacon it is good. But as a potato soup, it's disappointing....
Beautiful large place with lots of room. Food is good. The mood of the staff is unfortunate, tainted by the odd consistent magnetism of rude business people. Some attention on staff morale could make this a very great place.
Emily was an awesome server! Definitely enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Would come back again next time I’m available on that side of town.
