HuHot Mongolian Grill

Attention True VEGANS! so many veggie and sauce choices and cooked right in front of you.

I am a meat eater and the protein option were abundant as well! I love being able to pick my veggies, meat, and sauces!

Only the lack of drink refills was disappointing...but everything else was great!

Nobody in front to greet when I was there. After several minutes a girl came up and seated me in the very corner of the restraunt. Said my waiter would be right with me. After 8 or 9 minutes of sitting there the hostess came back and got me a water since the waiter haven't even been there yet. Mind you the restraunt had a total of 4 table in it when I arrived. An empty reatraunt if you will. I finally go to get my food. After I was finished eating the waiter who had not been by me once finally came by to refill my water and bring me my check. He said he would be back in a minute to take my payment. This was at 11:57. At 12:23 I hold up my receipt and start waving it as it had been almost a half an hour since I last saw my waiter. I just want to pay and leave. I then find out they do not accept tap to pay or chip readers. Its 2025 who doesn't accept those forms of payment. Anyway, I ask for a manager, because at tis point its been a terrible experience through and through. The manager comes up and promptly ask me how im going to pay before I even say a word. I said why dont we start with this whole experience and then let's work out how we will take care of the bill.
I dont get 3/4 of the way through explaining my experience before she snatched the bill up and tells me to leave and never come back. Why? Because I asked why it took almost a half and hour from the time I recieved my bill and was able to get my inattentive waiters attention? I was not raising my voice i was just trying to explain my situation and your management acts like that? She doesn't have to ever ask me to not come back, because I will do that all on my own. I will also warn others about your service and hostile manager. Damn right I made a scene after that... absolutely unbelievable experience..

It was totally empty and we had the grill to ourselves. I was craving bamboo shoots and veggies and this is always my go to for those things

If you like a buffet where you can pick everything that goes into your food this is a great place to try out. Good sauces, fresh ingredients and great tastes. The name of the restaurant says exactly what to expect. Place was clean, service was decent and nice atmosphere. Options for all.

Okay, not bad. I have a few level-up suggestions, but overall they did fine on everything . HuHot has a great endless stir fry option for everyone, with lots of things to mix a dish with. Waitress and Management did well. Here are my suggestions.

HuHut could take a page from BDs Mongolian and do a few smart things to up their business to the next level. First, give us cups to put the sauce on so you can throw the sauce in after a minute ot two on the grill, man. Seriously. By the time it's cooked, 90% of it has been cooked off. I need 5 servings of HuHot sauce to equal the flavor of one at BDs.
Second, oil the grill. Just a smidgen
It will cooke better.

Aa for this location, everything else was fine. And it's attached to the Mall, but not in the Mall

When we go to Springfield, this is one of our top picks for places to eat. Between the rewards discount and the great food, we always enjoy great service and food here. Not sure how they could make it any better. Just great all the way around. Looking forward to our next trip to Springfield so we can eat here again.
