Hy-Vee Grocery Store

I was so used to how things were last year. We visit Hy-Vee annually when we are in town for the Homeschool National Basketball Tournament. We enjoy coming in for the daily specials. Last year, they were advertised on their windows as you walk in. This year, it was not. I am not sure if leadership has changed, but it was not the same homey feeling. I would normally share the specials with our homeschool organization. Plus, this time it looked like the only specials were for just the main grill and not including the Asian or Pizza grills. I did bring this to the attention of a manager and one of the main male supervisor. He had glasses and a mustache and tall.

Also, when we were eating our meal, I noticed one of the Asian grill employees, actually two of them messing with one of the spot lights over the food. The connection piece broke, and it was left hanging by the wires. He did not protect the food before messing with it. He grabbed the bigger piece that popped off but did not realize I guess that there could be other sliver pieces in the food below.

We did not go back again and choose other places to eat.

We loved going there. I pray next year it will be different.

We had over 400 teams this year. I do not even know if any other store has the same grill specials, either. We play in over 8 gyms around Springfield for a week.

This location is great. We seriously just spend a couple hours here as a family eating at the food court and getting Starbucks so we can shop or just look around. Their employees are super nice and very helpful too! Honestly I’ve never had a bad experience here.

I have been to several in different states. They put a good store together. I don't like that you have to buy beer, wine, and spirits in a different location and the cashier always seems to think you are stealing if you buy your alcohol first - sometimes that is just as important as food. The meat has always been good, and I love their stuffed meats and double baked potatoes. They also have a good selection of cheese (I still haven't found a store that had cheese selections like they did in Green Bay WI)

Awesome grocery store. Hy-Vee typically has best selection of groceries in the city. Only downside might be they can get mega busy and prices are a little higher than most, but great quality stuff most the time.

The Hy-Vee Bakery made a custom birthday cake for our 10 year old girl. They allowed her to fully explain her dream cake during the ordering process. We tried to really keep her expectations realistic because her vision was pretty elaborate. When I picked up the cake I was blown away. It was even more incredible than I imagined! I could not be happier with the end result, it was delicious and beautiful!

Always well stocked

Very clean! We do partial shopping here! Love the garlic Sourdough Bread and also the blueberry bagels.

The Hillbilly was asked to get food for an event at work. I decided to try Hy-Vee catering for said event. And I'm REALLY glad I did!
Brandon was awesome! He made the entire process very easy. And the food... so good and a ton of food for a very reasonable price.
Hy-Vee on Sunshine will see my business again!

Well stocked and lots of variety in choices. Even after being here for over a year they still have the nicest employees.

HyVee is not close for me, but I do go about once a month. I love the bright and clean aisles, the friendly employees, and the wide selection of products.
