While traveling for work I stopped by this store to grab some items for the road. The store itself is nice. Good selection of items. The reason I am giving this review is due to the man and women arguing in the bakery. They were very loud and distracting. From what I could hear they were talking about personal matters and not work. From my experience heated conversations do not need to happen in front of customers in the public work place. I asked some of the other employees who they were and they said it was the bakery manager and her husband. They also said that they tend to have these arguments all the time while working together. Sounds to me and looks like there is a conflict of interest in the workplace if the wife is the manager over the husband.

With the exception of the package store, this location is terrible. Bakery constantly features items in the showcase for sale yet can't sell because of the expiration date (which don't sell old food but make sure you can sell what you feature).The guys in the deli are never friendly and you usually have to wait 5 min or wave your arms just to get acknowledgement when they are serving no one else. The layout where the dairy is terrible, the aisle is completely tight and once you get multiple shoppers in there, you really cannot shop for anything without feeling like people are waiting for you to move.There are some very cool features to this store, but people ultimately make a location. The West Battlefield HyVee location is still the premier grocery store in Springfield.
