Was very excited to try this place. Once the food arrived i was very disappointed. My broccoli had no seasoning on it, it was just steamed, that's it. Chicken was overly dry.
The only good thing was the salad bar.
Not impressed at all.
I didn't even bother with dessert because the food was that bland.

We have been long time customers of Jimm's Steakhouse & Pub and have never had a bad experience until recently. We arrived and entered the restaurant and there was no one waiting in the lobby and no staff to check in with. After a minute or two, we decided to just seat ourselves in the bar as we have done many times for over the past decade in dining at Jimm's. There were a few couples in the bar, but it was a pretty quiet evening. Again, we waited for awhile after we sat at a table and eventually a young lady came to our table and in a very loud voice announced; "You have to leave. These tables are reserved and we don't have any seating for you". To say I was shocking would be an understatement. We explained that we were unaware they ever took reservations for seating in the bar. Before I could finish my sentence, she again announced in a very loud voice; "We have no available seating for you, you need to get up." The first time was shocking, the second time was totally unnecessary. I told her we were sorry, clearly there were many empty tables and we were unware of ever having to have reservations for the bar except during holidays. My quiet explanation and apology was not what she wanted to hear so again she announced; "You just have to get up, go out to the lobby and wait." As we were leaving I asked again in a
low voice how long of a wait are we thinking? She responded again, in her loudest voice yet so there was no question that EVERYONE in the bar could hear her, "You will just have to go out and wait." I and my wife quietly exited the bar and stepped into the lobby and again, there were no customers waiting, and no one to check in with.
We do not drink, we don't do drugs, so we were not drunk or high, we were dressed nicely and we were not creating a scene or causing any disturbance at all. We could have been approached and told they had an overload of reservations this evening and that we would need to check back with them later, but this was not how this young lady chose to handle our presence.
On an interesting note, we left Jimm's obviously very upset over how we had just been treated, drove to Avanzari, just a few miles away, their parking lot was jam packed, we took the very last space, walked in and were greeted by multiple staff members who were happy to see us. We told the staff, we do not have reservations, is there any chance we could be seated tonight. We were seated in less than one minute, had a fantastic waiter, and enjoyed a wonderfully prepared meal all with NO DRAMA.
I have been a customer of Jimm's for well over a decade and I have NEVER been treated so rude. No one should have to endure public humiliation to have dinner at a nice restaurant. I will not be back.
They never miss. Enya is an awesome waitress.

Truly the best restaurant I’ve been to in long time. Great food, relaxing atmosphere and amazing staff! Enya in particular is a wonderful server, SO kind and hospitable. This is our go to restaurant when in town for sure, they truly go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable.

Ordered 2 New York strips, one cooked, medium-rare, and the other a bourbon New York strip medium rare. Both were cooked medium-rare, exactly as ordered. The bourbon New York strip was delicious it and a bit sweet, but I expected that with the glaze. So it was good. The other steak was not seasoned well, not enough salt. The house Caesar salad was good, and I saw a few people come back from their salad bar, and their salads looked good as well. The redskin mashed potatoes were spectacular and the baked potato was good.. the bread had a good flavor but it was not warm. Our waiter was exceptional. Did a spectacular job, was very attentive, and was knowledgeable about menu items. All in all made our experience enjoyable. We did not order wine, but their wine list was pretty good, as was their beer selection. Atmosphere was nice, a great place for a special dinner.

This place treats their servers terrible.
Food was great, Thomas C was our server check #53, we both ordered seafood bisque with our salad bar, we never got our soup. Thomas forgot. it took a long time for me to get Thomas's attention to mention the soup. I noted this on the signed bill with my 5% tip.

Best food, great staff
We have been to Jimm"s at least once or twice a month for the last year and our experience Wednesday March 27 was not up to Jimm's quality. Our drinks ( old fashions) were great and of course the salad bar is by far the best in town. We normally order salmon but this time we ordered med filets to our disappointment. They were not cooked correctly and one I was sure wasn't a filet, looked like a piece of over cooked sirloin. The service wasn't up to par, another waitress came over and cleared our salad plates and appetizer dish, since our service didn't. If and when we return it's back to salmon for us.

Ms. Paula was an exceptional server, definitely the best we've ever had! She was very hospitable and knowledgeable about our menu inquiries. The dining experience was great, but the service she provided took it to the next level.

To be honest we went there for anniversary and I was completely taken away by the fact that it wasn't anything I expected. It was so dark in there I couldn't read the menu before starters. But the waiter was excellent his name was Robbie. The bread tasted like the bread or rolls that we used to have in the school cafeteria when I was in high school. We found a place to be mediocre and both of us agree that Texas Roadhouse or Colton's would have been a better choice. Me and my husband both looked at each other and said never again.

Shelby was our waitress for dinner, and she was phenomenal! This was our first time there. We were visiting from Ashland, MO for a cheer competition. Service was incredible and food was ahhhh-mazing!!! Highly recommend and can’t wait to return when we come back to Springfield!
My wife and I tried the ribeyes and absolutely loved it. Our server was excellent and the food fantastic. We have already decided to trip to springfield again to repeat ourselves.
