A few weeks ago, we met friends here to have dinner on their recommendation. It was all-around one of the best meals we've had in a long time.
Great breakfast overall. Highlights were sausage gravy, cornbread waffle with pork belly. 4.5/5
Cannot really tell you about their food. But they are completely unorganized at the host station. We were told 35 minute wait and when it got a little over we checked and told not much longer. After 1hr 20min we were told that our name got marked off the wait list. Ridiculous
First time at JW’s Kitchen. Had brunch. Soooo good. My husband and I had their specials for the day. Both great and even ordered another side of their BBQ/hot chicken that was part of the special because it was so tasty. They allowed a side of greens instead of the more usual starchy ones. Had a light dressing. Perfect. Service was great and friendly. Food was served promptly. We will be back.
Incredible Chicken Livers for dinner and a great breakfast as well.
Good expresso martini. Pulled pork sandwich was too chewy.
We had supper here and enjoyed our choices. The deviled eggs are wonderful. Our waitress was attentive and provided biscuits for us, even though they weren't serving breakfast. We ate them as dessert with butter and honey. Next trip, we want to arrive early in the day for breakfast.
Caveat here; I arrived just after open. Sometimes home made things can degrade. Also, I've never smoked. I've heard some people complain about everything being bland.
First, service was quick and friendly, but the place wasn't overly busy either.
Got the chorizo and eggs and it was good. It's not the spiciest chorizo I've ever had but it certainly didn't lack flavor. Came with fresh cut avocado and I got tots. They call them tots; more accurately they resemble Hardee's breakfast rounds. They were fresh and crispy though.
I had heard about the biscuits so I got one ala carte. That might have been the highlight though nothing was sub par. Definitely home made, flakey, crispy outside and moist on the inside. Seems tragic someone might drown it in gravy. That said, I didn't have their gravy so it might be just as noteworthy.
Overall I was impressed. I'll be back to try more.
A tasty brunch and a great avocado toast!
We were looking for something different for breakfast. Found JW's online and it looked interesting especially because my friend doesn't eat meats, so she had the Greek yogurt and mixed berry parfait and I had the waffle with blueberry orange compote. Both were excellent as well as the service. The atmosphere is upscale, but the prices are very reasonable! We'll be back!!!

was very disappointed in JW’s Kitchen this morning. entire menu has changed and they’ve gotten rid of multiple good menu choices. they don’t offer lattes for breakfast anymore and it’s just not the same as it was when it first opened. i came here two days after giving birth , and had the best chicken sandwich ever. came back a few months later and it’s not even an option on the menu. very disappointed and probably will not be back
Love love love! Great food! Wonderful, friendly service. I'll be back.
The service, hospitality and atmosphere were very good.
We were there for 30-45 minutes, and the whole time, we did not see any other customers. That threw us off a little bit as the restaurant was very spacious with seating for many people.
Furthermore, I would agree with other reviews saying that the food is a little bland. That could just be the style. We threw in a little salt, and it was just fine.
Absolutely would recommend the mushroom gravy with your biscuits. Delightful! Will return!
Came on a Tuesday morning and it had a weird vibe (I'm sure it's better on weekends). The door to the outside was still locked and open sign turned off, so we had to enter through the interior doors from the main building.
I'm British so had high expectations for the full english but was sadly disappointed. The bacon was american bacon (for the owner: Sam's sells european style bacon if you ever want to go more authentic), there was no black pudding as I'd seen in magazine writeups (I imagine they took this off since a lot of Americans won't eat it), the bread was sweet, and the fried potatoes really greasy. Definitely regret paying $17 for it. Best thing about it was the sausage, honestly.
To summarise: if you're american you'll probably enjoy this place a lot but don't come expecting an authentic english brekky or you'll be disappointed.
