I dined on and had a wonderful poke bowl!
This was our first time experiencing Kuma Japanese Ramen & Sushi since we don't live in the area. The location is decent, located right next to the highway, although the driveway going in needs work. I got a sushi burrito and my husband got a Poke bowl. Ingredients were fresh, though the food was quite expensive for its size ($9.99 a piece), and I was charged extra for avocado although there wasn't much put on the burrito. They were light on the sauce in the burrito, but my husband's bowl had enough. Cost-wise, I did expect a bit more. The service was great. We waited a good ten minutes for our take-out, but the hostess was super friendly. The taste of the food was a little bland, likely a result of there not being enough sauce. The best part about the meal was the miso soup, oddly, and we didn't know we would get it before we ordered.Overall a decent experience that we could live without. It was certainly interesting to try sushi as a burrito, at least!
Consistently amazing! The tuna poke bowl is the best, and the sushi is delicious too. Definitely recommend!
usually i dont care for ramen but this place has really delicious ramen.
Ordering in due to having a medical issue and not wanting to cook, I thought Ramen would make me feel better. The pork Ramen, HEAVEN. There are no words. So delicious.
there main chef scott is amazing. he was making amazing food
Its delicious! Eating here as i speak! :D
Great food, good pricing, but it does take a little bit from sit down to food arrival.
Best ramen in springfield by far. The service is excellent as well.
Me and my friends came to eat. The ramen was great and the bento boxes are delicious!

This place is ok. Ordered beef bulgogi bento box. The rice has no difference in taste between sushi and plain rice. Spring rolls were plain as well. Beef bulgogi was good :) They know their sauces. Need a little work on the differences in taste. Everything tastes similar. Spring rolls rice sushi bland. Not a bad place though.
Only giving them a star cause can't give any less. Normally I'd rate it higher. But latest experience sucked. Waited and had to ask for service. Never got a refill on drinks. Waitresses were slow.
Loved it! Such good ramen! I got the pork belly ramen with bone broth. Delicious ?
If you've ever had authentic ramen, then this will definitely scratch the itch, but it's not quite there. I got mine with pork belly which was way too fatty. Don't get me wrong it was still delicious. I'm sure the service is usually fine, but we went near closing and literally had 10 minutes to eat. I'll be sure to come back and update my review once I've tried a few more things.
The staff was friendly. One girl working the front and the restaurant became packed to capacity within 10 minutes of my party being seated.Menu options are not overwhelming, and they are easy to follow.I asked for extra napkins once she was free, we only had the paper napkin the silverware was wrapped in, no where to place our silverware if we placed our napkin in our lap.I ordered the Japanese Ramen with Chashu and Tonkotsu broth, I asked for spicy level 3/5. I also ordered a hot green tea.We had an order of shrimp tempura, spicy tuna roll, and snowing mountain roll for the table. The shrimp tempura came out first, I found the batter was not thoroughly crisped and there was definite undercooked quality of the batter in the center. I mentioned this to my table partner, he said he found it to be tolerable, he finished the tempura. The meals came out next. I had the Chashu Tonkotsu Ramen. I am a bit disappointed they only give you half an egg. The broth had good smoky flavor, the spice was maybe a 1.5, definitely not a 3. The ramen seemed less than quality.I again asked for the extra napkins, she said oh yes and went and grabbed a couple. The sushi came out while we were eating. We found a hair in on one of the rolls, the girl said she’d let the kitchen know. We said we didn’t want to make a big deal out of it, I guess she took that as to not do anything. No offer to replace the roll or take it off of our check. I refused to try it. I would have refused a replacement also, but the least she could’ve done is offer. This is the reason this is a 1 star rating versus a 3 star rating. I would not rate this higher than a three based on there being a much better Ramen house off Campbell and Republic road in Springfield MO.Today is January 11th 2021.
