This place used to be fantastic Just got a Boba for the third time in a row that taste like water. I’m not happy Paid $15 for two drinks that taste like nothing:( not only Did they taste like water but the girl who served me made the drink incorrectly twice before serving it Back to me STILL WRONG. I don’t know if she’s new or what but the recipes for the drinks are literally written down I don’t know how it can be that hard:( the owner is fantastic and always gets it right but the staff Have no idea what they’re doing or simply don’t care That it’s wrong. there’s no consistency anymore. Personally, I can no longer justify spending $15 for two drinks that aren’t made right half the time:/

I have been going here for 9 years. Personally I think this is the best boba place in town but the last two times I’ve gone I’ve been really disappointed that they were ‘out’ of icecream (the first time) and ice cream was closed for the night (the second time). Not a huge deal but I believe that it’s not unreasonable to expect the whole menu to be available until close.
One of the girls working there when we came tonight was very nice, brought our drinks over to us with straws and everything (they even matched the color of our drinks which could be total coincidence but a nice touch if not)! We did ask to have one drink remade as it was somewhat flavorless and she was very nice about it.
The other girl did not seem to enjoy her job, very neutral stare and seemed over it. Just not very good customer service from her but it could have been an off night.
Regardless, If you are just wanting boba tea you will never be disappointed here.

They have a beautiful set up. Employees are very nice and incredibly fast service. I never had to wait for more than 2 minutes every time I was there.

This place was great! I have alpha gal. Its not a common allergy so most people dont take it seriously! But the people who were working today asked all the right questions and upon realizing that we said no diary for our smoothies they came and talked to us and told us the alternative options. And on top of that the smoothies were great and so was the service

August 1, 2025 News Leader La Boba Cafe, 1601 W. Sunshine St., Springfield. July 25 routine inspection – Result: permitted with re-inspection. Three priority violations: Observed raw eggs stored over ready-to-eat foods, which was corrected on site and education provided; observed two pitchers of milk tea at 47 degrees, milk at 48 degrees, almond milk at 50 degrees, 12 cartons of half-and-half between 46 degrees and 48 degrees, jasmine tea at 48 degrees, six jugs of coffee creamer at 47 degrees, coconut milk at 44 degrees, two cartons of oat milk at 52 degrees and 46 degrees, two cartons of almond milk at 47 degrees and the ambient air temperature of the stainless steel cooler at 48 degrees, all items over 41 degrees were discarded and re-inspection required; observed live adult and adolescent cockroaches in kitchen. Nine priority violations: Observed no test strips at time of inspection; observed seal on left stainless steel cooler door damaged; observed utensils stored in water below 135 degrees, which was corrected on site and education provided; observed hot water in restroom at 80 degrees maximum; observed no service sink available in facility to dispose of liquid waste; observed leak from employee hand sink faucet and handles; observed employee handwashing sink had no soap, which was corrected on site and education provided; observed employee hand sink had no hand drying provisions, which was corrected on site and education given; observed flooring in kitchen area unclean and sticky.

Just the best boba in Missouri & Kansas! The menu is vast and you can't go wrong. I always get the Strawberry Shortcake with white boba. Service is always top notch, too!
