We ate here for the first time and everything was phenomenal! the food, the atmosphere and the vibe was awesome. I had the wonderful fried pork chops! 🤤 And that corn bread just melts in your mouth. No addiction butter needed. 🤌

The atmosphere was fantastic. The waiter, Uncle Mike was phenomenal. The food was the best. It was true home style cooking. We will definitely be going back when we are in Springfield. No restaurant will ever beat this one.

Some of the best food I have ever had. I love they are not afraid to using seasonings. I been telling everyone I see to go and try it out. Definitely one of my new favorite places to eat.

Visited this place and ordered the Roadrunner. It was really good, the owner's father came out and talked with me for a bit too as it was his recipe. Wish I could've tried everything on the menu.

My 96 year old dad came to live with me here in Springfield and we started our quest to find him the best catfish. Well, let me tell you this place exceeded all expectations. The fillet was chunky, crisp, and cooked to perfection! All our food arrived to the table hot. JD was our server that day and made sure we had a great dining experience. Thank you!

This was my first ever visit to mama g’s. I Mike (I think 😬) was the waiter. He was personable, extremely nice, and quick with his service. Loved him!! The food? Pshhh. Don’t even get me started on the collard greens queso and the cornbread!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 will definitely be back!!!

The best food I've ever had at a down home restaurant. Probably the best corn bread I've ever had, meatloaf made me feel like I was home. So good. Comes with a hug lol

I ordered DoorDash from here on a whim and it was some of the best food I’ve had in Springfield. Hands down. Will return over and over. The cornbread is going to be something I dream about.

The cornbread was burnt, and the macaroni and cheese were cold. I believe my pork chop and catfish were cooked correctly. (I only get in the mood to eat catfish once every ten years, because catfish always tastes like mud/dirt to me.) They were out of collard greens.

We were welcomed immediately by Glenda when we arrived and Micah was quick to come to take care of us at the table. The food was delicious and will be a place to come back to when we travel through Missouri! Y’all need to go see them!

This place is amazing!!! My daughter and I loved everything about it from the moment we stepped in the door! The atmosphere was good, loved the music, the staff was so friendly and helpful! The food was SOOOO good!!! Everything we ordered we loved! Definitely going back!!

Our daughter told us about this place downtown that served really good food. The Family went and we were met at the door by a wonderful hostess. As she seated us and told us about the new location of this restaurant? She was very pleasant. Our waiter came in a flash, he too was a great guy. Told us all about the menu and the things that were really good. The atmosphere was great. It was a really beautiful experience at this restaurant. Our food came out hot and fresh, and we all shared each other‘s dinner and was taken back by the flavor and the authenticity of this soul food restaurant. I have relatives coming into town and I can’t wait to take them. Great place!
