This one is located in the mall. Ever since they opened the new location this one as really went down hill. The food is old and not as hot as it should be. It can be very dry too.And with it being in the mall it was always hard to get too and actually sit down and eat your food i would always get it and leave just because it was always so busy.

The free samples of Bourbon Chicken from Max Orient were a high point of any visit to the Battlefield Mall; the food court entrance may as well be the only entrance for that reason. Bourbon Chicken wasn't a thing at most other Chinese restaurants in town back when I lived here, so getting it here felt like a unique treat. There are Chinese spots in other malls in the country that operate similar to Max Orient, but this is still one of the better ones I've been to.

Went to the new location, it was really clean in there and the guy making my order was very friendly and attentive. The egg drop soup was amazing freshly cooked and was hot when we got home too. The only thing I would say is the rice and chicken wasn't very hot, like it maybe sat for a minute but other than that it was great. It is very affordable too.
This is my first time at this location. Been to the mall a few times and it was great. I had the bento combo with noodles, bourbon chicken, and crab Rangoon with Cali roll. My wife had the same thing except with rice. The noodles and chicken was fine but the crab Rangoon had no filling. It was like eating a fried wonton wrapper. The rice had a weird after taste and left us disgusted. The cali was fine. Would I go back? Yeah to try something else but mostly for the bourbon chicken. This is just my honest review and your experience might not be the same as mine if you decide to go. Also would like to note the owner guy is nice and friendly. 4.5/10

Food is never hot, just lukewarm. The honey chicken was horrible. General chicken was good. Orange chicken is a hit or miss. Bourbon chicken is good but again they need to work on having food that is hot. Get rid of the honey chicken because that’s not honey chicken. Panda Express has better honey chicken with the correct sauce. What they gave me looks like mayonnaise on fried chicken and it tasted horrible.
