I went to the original location (where I loved the old memorabilia and history of this Springfield institution), for lunch one day in December. The service was outstanding, and the food was hot, with ample portions. The Christmas decorations were nice, too.
Mexican villa has been a favorite of our family for many many years, this is our absolute favorite location. Excellent service, great food, good prices.
Parking: You can usually find a spot pretty easy.
Kid-friendliness: Kids are definitely welcome here, they even have the standard kid friendly options such as grilled cheese, ham and cheese, chicken strips, french fries etc

If you go to Springfield and want good Mexican style food, this is the place! The only thing you should order is the Burrito Enchilada style. They have good tacos, too. Now, you can order 1 as an add-on to your order. My family has eaten here for almost 60 years.
