I love the National location with the juke boxes at the table and have very fond memories of studying for college here while eating yummy food. The other locations are ok as far as atmosphere but the consistancy of food quality is great. Used to live on North side and you can feel the age which I like. Love the bean tostadas but the cheese dip is great.
Vegetarian options: If you like vegetarian Mexican American food but don't want to spend a fortune, this is your place. The beans are lard free, chips are suppossed to be fried in veg oil with no meat items and the guacamole is sooo much better than it used to be. You can have fried or soft tacos (with/out cheese), guacamole tacos or burritos but I always get the tostada with guacamole on the side.

Terrible experience. Service was bad only saw server once when she took order. Food was not even warm. Waited at least 15 minutes for our ticket. Asked another server for to go containers and she was extremely rude. Not sure what was happening. We go here all the time and have never had this bad of experience.

Way over priced and the kids menu for a corney dog needs to be changed to coney we thought it was a corn dog . Been going hear for years I was a kid going hear it was a lot better back then now it just over priced cheap Mexican food
