I absolutely love the food and love going there, we had our waitress Danielle did everything correctly and was nice, but our issue we had was we received a gift certificate, had the email sent showing the transaction and when it was purchased, our waitress said that there was a separate email with a QR code. I said I didn't have that but I have the receipt that shows that, is there any way you can look it up, and with out hesitation she grabbed another employee, asked if we can look it up and the response is yeah there is a confusion with those gift certificates, but it's the QR code we need. I asked you can't look it up? And no response everyone walked away leaving me to try and find the person who gave it for a gift. On Valentine's Day, embarrassing and absolutely no help in resolving a know issue. I was very disappointed and now I don't feel like I can show up there again! I just felt like I was a problem for asking and then left with no help in the situation. I figured there would have been something that could have been done. So left there upset for several reasons. I do not recommend the gift certificate, because if you have only half they won't help to resolve it. That was my experience

Yeah definitely not comeing back to this place I have never been treated like this at a resturant u guys have some weird waitresses. and people running this place it was my first time going here. and we where there first but the lady seated the people who came in after us. We where ignored treated like thiefs.

This was a great experience!! The atmosphere was beautiful. We tried two teas, Ms Gilmore's and a country fruit. We ate mad hatters special. Plus a club sandwich. Staff was friendly for the most part. One lady (I forget her name) was sweet, friendly and helpful. She had a Texas accent! Thank you!!!

Went on a really busy Saturday around noon with some family. Very overestimulating as soon as we walked into the front area (more of a me problem).
They told us the wait was about 30 minutes, so 2 people in our party went to look around in a different shop next door. 30 minutes later our buzzer goes off and I go up to the counter and say that 2 additional people from our party would be showing up within a minute. They said they couldn't seat us until the entire party was present....weird, in my opinion.
They gave my reservation to the next people in line instead of seating us and letting our people join us a minute later. So we wait another 10 minutes to be seated.
We all got some tea, and to me, wasn't anything special (simple syrup with possibly artificial flavoring). Raspberry tea was good.
Server was very kind and fast. Food was boring and over priced though it was brought to us quickly. The hot brown sandwich was bland and the turkey hockey puck on it was reminiscent of high-school lunch.
Before leaving we picked out 10 different truffles from the shop in the front and only one of the flavors was good. The others had a strange bitter taste for some reason.
Considering the great options surrounding this place, I'll definitely choose somewhere else next time I'm on C-street.

I really like the idea of this place. We were told that it would be 30 minutes to be seated so we decided to go shop while we were waiting and there was only a table with stuff on it multiple sections closed which is a bit ridiculous. We finally got seated and our group was upset that we were set in the middle of the entire room and no one else was. We waited a good 20 minutes for someone to come and get our drink order then waited another 15 minutes for those drinks to come out. Never was gaven any straws. The waitress wrote down our order and still got it wrong. She was serving everyone but us it seems like. Got a water which had cucumber in it but should’ve been told that it has cucumber! Had to ask for our own refills and when she did refill brought no ice so only got warm cucumber water YUCK! the food is mediocre at best servings really small like for birds honestly we won’t be back.

We took my daughter and some friends here for her birthday. They had so much fun, the whole staff was so gracious, We unknowingly kept the waitress after the kitchen closed, and she was so very kind. The girls got to use real tea cups and a tea pot, even for iced tea. They were so accommodating! The desserts were all excellent! I think we will make this a yearly tradition! 10/10 recommend!!! Thanks for helping to make her birthday a memory!!
