Nearly famous is generous for what is mediocre at best. I had better club sandwiches at mcalisters for a better price. I'm not sure who thinks chilli is a soup but they are very wrong.

After being a customer for over 25 years I will never return after being stunningly insulted by hostess. I asked my friend if her salad tasted different and she said yes and wasn’t going to eat it. I always get the Famous Salad every time… have bought their dressing for home, as well… but that day the artichokes were dry and salad tasted flat… when asked at checkout how our lunch was my friend quietly responded regarding salad.… I sadly concurred regarding the salad… the cashier responded, rudely, “well, I had one this morning and it tasted the same. Have you girls had a change in your medications, lately.” Funny? Didn’t feel funny… and if I’m not mistaken, as one looks around at the clientele, insulting ageism jokes might not be appreciated. Very unkind and undeserved. A simple, “I’m sorry, I’ll check into it.” would have sufficed and I wouldn’t have to try and find a new favorite Springfield lunch spot. (Servers are outstanding! I will miss their attentiveness.)

Food, very average. Bread not toasted, sandwich was rather underwhelming. Very friendly service. Soup was decent. Very Mid as the Gen Z kids say

Arrived at 430 pm when opening on 1/17, after my radiation mapping appt. We were one of 2 parties in the establishment. We waited 30 mins to be served and for food to arrive. We had the tortellini special with marinara sauce/chicken, and drinks. I thought it tasted odd. Bill came to 60. Special was listed as 17.89. We had one iced tea and two glasses of orange juice. The food was not impressive and I ate only a small portion and took mine home and gave to chickens, my friend had stomach distress afterwards and I had an allergic reaction, as I have alpha gal with angioadema. My mouth swelled up. They have cross contaminated the food with beef. Pork, etc.
Regardless, will never go back again. Very disappointed

I really don’t know why this place is still around. The sandwiches are ok but the hot food is not good. The spinach lasagna has canned spinach. The spaghetti has no flavor. The jarred sauce from the stores have more flavor. The meatballs were gross.

Vegetarian options: There are a few options.

I loved the personal atmosphere here and unique sandwiches and soup. Reasonably priced and delicious!

How I’ve never been to this gem of a place after living in Springfield for over 10 years, I’ll never know. Maybe I caught it on a great day, I don’t know, but it was the best experience I’ve had dining out in years. The hostess was very polite and accommodating (and I later found out she was the owner). I sat at the bar and the waitress/bartender found out it was my first time and recommended the pear sandwich. Yea, that’s right pears, on a sandwich. I was skeptical but I’m telling you right now, it did NOT disappoint! I had a great conversation with the bartender, and even had a chance to talk to a few other employees and was blown away. Needless to say, I WILL be back and be bringing my family and friends!

Hours advertised are frequently incorrect and closed with no warning. Too many trips made to have dinner here (currently Saturday night at 6:30) and then find out they are closed. Love the food but won't be taking any more chances with the hours.

Everyone likes different food but we went with 2 adults and 2 teenagers, ordered 2 sodas and 2 water and the bill was over $100. The staff was great the building was too, but it's probably the worst Italian I've had in Springfield and it's the second most expensive.

Everything was great; I do wish the prices were a bit cheaper for what they offer. I love how the owner sponsors local artists paintings, and even sells the ones that are up on display.

Good service. The croutons on the salad were very tasty. Unfortunately, this is where the compliments end. I ordered the spinach lasagna and my wife had the tortellini marinara. The lasagna noodles were dried out, spinach was terrible and the sauce was very burnt. Epic failure on the lasagna. The tortellini tasted like it had been frozen in a bag which was also topped with the burnt marinara sauce. Epic failure on this dish as well.Portion sizes on both dishes were extremely small. The picture of the tortellini is how much was left on the table. When asked if we wanted a box to take the leftovers, we respectfully declined. We decided to order lemon bars as a much needed pallet cleanser and wouldn't you know it, they were equally terrible! I can best describe them as tasting like crunchy butter with a hint of lemon topped with powdered sugar. How do you mess up a lemon bar? The lemon bars were also very small in portion size. I've included a standard sugar packet in the picture for scale. It's pretty bad when the croutons on the salad are the best part of the meal. Normally, I always give resturants a second chance to redeem themselves. However, this time I don't feel I can bring myself to do it.

This is a charming little piece of heaven. It has a small town café feel right in the middle of Springfield. The food is excellent. My wife loves the salad and I love the egg sandwich.

Parking: The lights is large, because it connects to the whole strip center
