My husband and I have been to Niji Sushi Bar many times, and we absolutely love it. The sushi rolls are consistently fresh, creative, and absolutely delicious—some of our favorites anywhere. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and so well decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service is always awesome, and they now recognize us as regulars and are incredibly friendly. It truly feels like our go-to sushi spot, and we highly recommend it.

Had a great sushi based meal with all the fixings. Fish was fresh. Service was great. Joked and laughed with the staph. They even had Asahi on tap. I've eaten A LOT of sushi in my day and while this isn't the absolute best, it is very good and checks all the boxes for authenticity. We will be going back. I highly recommend.

If sushi restaurants kept score, Niji Sushi Bar & Grill in Springfield, MO would have a record book, and our family would be permanently listed under “Largest Philadelphia Roll Order Ever Attempted by Humans.”
We came in with our boys, empty stomachs, and absolutely no sense of moderation. At some point during ordering, the server’s eyebrows went up. Shortly after that, the chef himself had to come out and personally verify who on earth was planning to eat that many Philadelphia rolls. I’m pretty sure he expected to see a competitive eating team or maybe a small army. Instead—just us. Respect was silently exchanged.
Now let’s talk about the sushi-making process as it clearly happens at Niji:
1. The chef selects fish so fresh it probably still has life goals.
2. Rice is prepared with the precision of a NASA launch.
3. Rolls are assembled with elegance, focus, and what I can only assume is ancient sushi magic.
4. Plates are delivered to the table.
5. Everything immediately disappears into our stomachs at record speed.
Truly, one moment it’s art… the next moment it’s gone forever, living happily in our stomachs, fulfilling its destiny.
And the Cherry Blossom Roll—WOW. This roll didn’t just steal the show, it walked off with the trophy, the spotlight, and a standing ovation. Absolute perfection. If sushi had a personality, this one would be charming, confident, and fully aware it’s the best thing on the menu.
The overall experience was fantastic: friendly staff, great atmosphere, top-tier food, and zero judgment (at least outwardly) for our heroic sushi consumption.

Can not say enough about this place. So much variety. I keep trying unique things. I love the Bento box but the Sushi is a the best. Can’t wait to try the rice served in a pineapple. yum. Service and atmosphere are top notch. Support local - you will not be disappointed I promise.

My husband and I went here tonight and it was absolutely the best sushi we have ever had and we've tried a lot! We also enjoyed the Pink Lady non alcoholic drink! This was such an amazing experience and to top it off the staff was so kind and helpful and went above and beyond!! Will definitely be back!!
Food was good, the bento box options were well seasoned and prepared but the sushi took wayyy too long to come out.
Kinda tucked away but worth finding and going to. It was warm and welcoming and the tuna was fresh and that's all it takes for me. If I could give em 6 stars I would!! Will return often

Our server, Thu, was amazing and the food was so good. If you want to be spoiled in service and food, you’ll definitely stop by. And to top it off, the ambiance is so classy, clean, and relaxing. 5/5

Restaurantji Recommends
This is my 2nd time coming to Niji and the experience was just wonderful. The beautiful building and decor, service was great, food was fantastic, and so were the drinks. The Ramen was delicious and so was the sushi. I come to visit the area several times a year and I plan to make this a stop everytime. You will not be disappointed!

Husband and I tried for the first time tonight.. absolutely amazing. We are big sushi and hibachi fans so I don’t know how we never knew about this place. We both left and said it’s our new favorite spot! Already planning to take friends and family to try it. 10/10! Great service and food!
My family absolutely loves Niji! All of the servers are extremely kind and make sure you are taken care of of. Thu Thu is an excellent bartender with a fun bubbly personality. The food is always delicious and we look forward to coming back the next week. It’s a staple for us :)

I had an incredible dining experience at Niji Sushi! The moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere.
The sushi was OUTSTANDING – fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared.
Service was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. Prices were very reasonable considering the high quality.
Niji Sushi has earned a loyal customer in me! If you're a sushi lover, do yourself a favor and visit ASAP.
