I really like Progress and have always had a nice experience here. However, today we walked in for breakfast and were told there was no more seating for walk ins or Reservations due to it being Mothers Day weekend. This is fine and understandable. But the hostess was very rude when telling us this and I felt like she had a "sorry, not sorry" attitude. Very disappointed with this interaction. Even my 13 year old son picked up on the negative vibe we received.

Pure delicious art. The best cauliflower dish I’ve ever had. Food bliss ❤️?

Most impressive experience I had while in town for the weekend. The staff is a well-oiled machine that does great working together and it shows. The hostess handled the business very well and also kept the tables turned and ready for the next sitting while the servers did what they needed to for their tables. There was not a point where we didn't have someone checking on us or offering to clean the table when needed. I appreciate natural wine, and the selection of natural wine they have is refreshing. All the food was terrific, drinks were terrific, and the service was terrific. Kudos Progress.

My wife's and my favorite restaurant in Springfield. Classy yet relaxed atmosphere, knowledgeable and friendly staff, delicious cocktails, and consistently excellent food. If you haven't tried Progress out, you should! The menu changes seasonally and has evolved over the years. However, the constant has always been an imaginative use of flavors and textures in every dish, and excellent execution. Regardless of the iteration, always order the carrots. My wife and I joke that Chef Daniel has a love affair with carrots, because they are almost always the star of the meal. This is not meant to denigrate any of the other dishes on the menu - all of the ones we've had have been excellent - it is just that the carrots are always exceptional. Sharing a Taste of Progress is generally a good idea, between 2-3 people (depending on how hungry you are). If I had one critique, I'd love a tasting menu with smaller plates, so that I could try more all at once.

This was our first time to visit Progress. We had an unhurried dinner with friends. The dining room is open, with comfortable seating arrangements and an environment that is not noisy or cramped. A great place to have a conversation and enjoy company. The food is a good combination of fresh ingredients and interesting combinations of flavors and textures (fried Brussels sprouts with shaved jalapeños and cilantro as an example). We shared the Taste of Progress and we both loved the large pork chop entree and vegetable options. The olive cake is delicate and tasty - I would love to have it again soon. The dessert option of "milk and honey" was tasty, although the boba had a texture difference that was not my favorite. Service was great, with a waitress who was cheerful and attentive but not overbearing. She was able to speak confidently about every dish, and accommodated our requests without missing a beat. We frequent Char, Ocean Zen and Metropolitan Grill for nights out, but I can't remember as enjoyable a dining experience as we had last night at Progress in the last year. We will be back!

First timer here. I and my accomplice went on a Sunday. It wasn’t very busy and we got seated very quickly. We got our drinks ordered and got some time to look over the menu. I ordered pineapple ginger mock tail. I looked over the menu and saw biscuits and gravy, that was it. I LOVE biscuits and gravy! Our foods came in a timely manner. My food looks very presentable in the bowl. I took a bit of my food and it sent my taste buds to a flavor dimension. This is most likely the second delicious biscuits and gravy I’ve tasted. Although it was a small brunch meal, I enjoyed it very much. My meal plus drink were chef kiss. The atmosphere of the restaurant is calming. The aesthetics is quite pleasing and beautiful. Customer service was great. Overall a 10/10.

Absolutely fantastic food! I had the brussel sprouts and the cauliflower (has small slices of beef) and they were simply the best I've ever had. If you like healthy food prepared with creative combinations and unusual flavors this is the place for you. They also offer pork, chicken, fish and beef.

I was here last night for a special occasion with my partner and we couldn’t have been more impressed. Hope was our server and she was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and gave nothing but the best suggestions for the two of us. This season’s menu was just marvelous! My partner and I very much enjoyed the butternut squash as well as the steak tartar as well as their chicken and pork. We decided we needed to come back before the menu changes again. That being said, I absolutely cannot wait for next season’s menu to come out. I cannot recommend this place enough, and be sure to ask for Hope if you visit. Especially if it’s a first time visit.

Excellent food and service. Prices are above average but for a special meal it was enjoyable

Is it ok to judge a restaurant based on their carrots alone? If so, five stars. Four of us shared the carrots, steak tartare, brussel sprouts, and xo fries. All were fantastic. Fried chicken, halibut, burger, and pork chops were outstanding. I grew up in Springfield but live out of town and am so happy Springfield has this restaurant to enjoy. I will be back every time I visit.

No. I won't be back. I appreciate their idea of a "farm to table", but their portions are microscopic. You will need to make plans to eat at a fast food place after visiting this restaurant. Way too expensive for what you get. DISAPPOINTING

The avocado toast was so good. Chickpeas + goat cheese=amazing. My mom got the chicken biscuit and it was the crunchiest crust ever with white cheddar on top. The biscuit itself was also very good.

The experience of this food was amazing. We went on a Thursday evening and the atmosphere was super laid back. Our waitress was aware of my wife’s gluten allergy and the smaller menu meant we didn’t have to look too hard to figure out what we could and couldn’t have.We started with the “not sushi” appetizer and really loved it.I got the pork chop, and it was without a doubt the best pork chop I’ve ever had. The Moles sauce was delicious, and elevated the meat. The grilled cabbage with onion sauce was so tasty as well!My wife had the chicken, and the strawberry sauce was amazing! Our waitress was so knowledgeable about each dish, and explained to us what flavors we should notice, and what certain elements were in the dish. You’ll see it in other reviews, but the price is pretty high. However, I really believe we got our money’s worth. If you’re looking for a special place to experience amazing flavors and you’re not worried about price, Progress is the place to be!

Nice setting in this modern restaurant. Food is actually pretty good, my assistant had the BLT which she said was awesome. I had the chicken tenders and tots. The chicken was fried nicely and the tots where perfect. My issue is the dipping sauces they offer are to be honest, horrible. Their "Fun Ranch" was more like tartar sauce than anything resembling ranch of any type. Their BBQ sauce had way to much liquid smoke added, and their green lime sauce was like a thick chili verde pea soup. Sorry I was disappointed at the sauces, service was great, atmosphere really nice. I'm all about the sauces, this place failed miserably. Still if you are like me, dipping your tenders in sauces that are just not good, then my meal was a fail. Give her a try though, the BLT was pretty awesome or so I've been told!
