One of Springfield's BEST places to eat! It is casual and affordable, and the food is DELICIOUS. The portions are good, everything tastes super fresh, and the servers are kind. Try the Thai tea too if you haven't. It is out of this world and pairs perfectly with the food.

Rama thai cafe is some of the best Thai food I have ever eaten, and hands down the best atmosphere of any restaurant!

Love the food and the people. I should mention I normally get Thai Hot but burned my face off here. Literally I don’t have a face anymore. Use caution.

Waited 15 minutes for someone to even acknowledge me when I came in the restaurant. When I asked how long the wait was, I was asked how many in my party. Told the guy 2 people. He went and looked in the other room, and then came back and said he had a table but just needed to get a tablecloth. He grabbed a tablecloth. Then another customer came in the door and asked about his wait time. He was already on the list that the guy helping me hadn’t even looked at. When he finds out the other guy has 2 in his party. he has to backtrack and tell me that I actually have 3 people on the list in front of me and that it’s probably going to be quite a while before I can get a table. Terrible customer service. Turned and walked out the door. Will not be back to try again.

The food is absolutely amazing! Everything is very high quality and prepared well every time. I love that the building is an old house with very little modification done. Great atmosphere. Very friendly staff.

Best Thai food downtown. Amazing prices and verity of dishes. Most authentic I've had inside the US. Jungle curry hot as they make it is the way to go!

I came here with a friend right before the dinner rush, we were seated immediately indoors as they have both indoor and outdoor seating (weather permitting with outdoor), it's a small but cozy and light space.

we got the spring rolls, crab rangoon, and Thai iced coffee and Thai iced tea. our separate meals were Garlic and Pepper chicken with rice noodles subbed for rice, and a very modified panag chicken curry. all of the food was delicious, filling, and seasoned beautifully. food and drink came out very quickly.

the staff here are very helpful, friendly, and chill. they are quick without rushing you, and do their best to help you, especially if you've never had Thai before.

the only downside is it is not wheelchair accessible, and the bathroom is a bit of a squeeze. the space is very clean, bright, and comfortable otherwise.

definitely come here if you're around, they're a local small business and very good at what they do :)

Dietary restrictions: they are very willing to make any modifications they are able to with your food, I can be a very picky eater and they did all my accommodations to the best of their ability

Edit/add Can’t call in an order its mailbox is full. ?

Cute place! The front door seemed locked with a sign but we got in from the side door. The fried tofu appetizer was great! The basil fried rice was great too. I think it could use some more basil leaves. The portion was boarderline smaller than I expected.

Got a take out order on a Friday night and it was ready pretty quickly. The drunken noodles were okay, I’ve definitely had better though. My husband liked his pad Thai. I would give this place another shot again because it was so quick and easy!

I have come here for years and always love the good food, quick service, lovely atmosphere, and good prices. The curries are always great.
Today was the first time I had a dish I didn’t like (it was the Pho— don’t get it if you enjoy Vietnamese pho). They were kind enough to swap out my dish for something else!

In the meantime I had some bites of my mom’s pineapple fried rice and it was very delicious. Noticed that the chicken across all the dishes was a little dry, but the flavors in everything (besides the Pho) have always been amazing!
Their fresh spring rolls and peanut sauce are so good!

PS— did I mention the speed of the service? Very quick with the drinks and appetizers. It’s fantastic.

Love Rama Thai. It's my partner and I's favorite Thai place to eat! We love their spring rolls and their golden bags. I love their mango curry but lately I've been on a crab fried rice kick and y'all they put so much crab in this, it's so good!
I get mine with a side of plum sauce bc I feel it compliments the crab nicely.
My partner almost always gets the pad Thai and loves it so much. It's VERY much his comfort food item on the menu.
I honestly don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu.

This was my first visit, though my partner has been here several times before. We were seated almost immediately despite the restaurant being moderately busy. The dining area and table were clean, and the temperature was comfortable, though I was seated directly in front of an AC vent.

Once seated, it took about 10 minutes for our server to greet us, and another 20 minutes before our water was brought to the table. The fresh spring rolls arrived shortly after, within 2-5 minutes, followed by our pad thai in another 2 minutes. The spring rolls were solid, and the peanut sauce was tasty.

I ordered the chicken pad thai with a spice level of 2, and I thought they got the spiciness just right, though the chicken could have been more tender. My partner had the tofu pad thai with a spice level of 3. She felt the spice level was perfect, but noted that the dish was a bit more "soupy" than usual. Unfortunately, our crab rangoons never made it to the table.

The staff were friendly and apologetic. My partner assures me that the service is usually better.

This cafe is in an old house, interior is plainly decorated - I think they choose to focus more on their food than the environment. My elderly mother and I shared an order of Spring Rolls (3, cut in half), she ordered the Mixed vegetables with beef for her entree and I ordered Pad Thai with chicken and a spice level of 1, figuring I would play it safe if their "mild" was really medium. I can tolerate fairly spicy food, and level 1 made for a tasty and enjoyable experience. Service was very good and our server was professional and kind. The cost for our meal was $32.00, I felt this was a very good price for a meal that was both tasty and filling. In the end, Rama Thai Cafe has quality food and great service. I highly recommend them!
