I come to springfield to visit family.Always trying to find a place that has good drinks and food and atmosphere.Where I'd feel comfortable since I usually go out alone. I found this place and so happy I did. Jake the bartender was wonderful from the time I walked in the door till I left. Food and drinks were great. Think I found my spot when I visit Springfield.

We enjoyed our dinner there so much and we will be back! Our waitress Jessica was so friendly and wrote everything down ahead of time since we were deaf and that impressed us! Calamari was pretty good, just a bit too salty for us. Salmon cakes, oh myyy!! My hubby couldn’t have enough of these! I ordered maple salmon and my hubby ordered Alaskan halibut. My hubby loved that dish, so did I! I kept taking some bites of his halibut, it was soo unbelievably delicious!! Mine was pretty good, maybe tone down on salt.

I really wanted to like this restaurant. Heard good things. We have tried it twice now and left both times feeling disappointed. The first time I ordered the filet medium and it came out way too rare. By the time I sent it back and it came back to me I couldn’t even stomach it. The second time I tried the chicken Caesar wrap. I asked for fried chicken and it came grilled, and the Caesar sauce was way too strong. The waitress took my bread before I was finished also. We might try it again and order something else but 0/2 right now.

Decent food , limited selection for the hours open. Drinks under poured and over priced. Def banking on the bar mark up and location. Plenty of other places in same area not trying to mark up the check. Not worth the price. Don't waste your time.

We’ve been here multiple times over the past year or so. Food was always great, until the last two times (in the past two months or so). Burger and sliders and filet all VERY salty. Almost inedible. Last visit we received the wrong sized steak and had to wait with other’s food getting cold for correct size to be brought. Server kept reaching across the table in our faces, literally! Totally unnecessary because we certainly would rather pass something than have her leaning into our faces. Won’t give up on it yet. Hoping for things to improve.

The flash fried spinach. The bread and dipping sauce. The flat bread. The salads. EVERYTHING was incredible!! The experience was only made better by our very attentive, sassy server, Kari. She was so personable; felt like a family friend we had known forever. Retro Metro is a treasure in our community; a favorite place to connect over outstanding food.

Kari our waitress was phenomenal…went above and beyond to make sure we had the best of everything. Never rushed us and timed the food delivery perfectly. The food was amazing…will definitely be back! I’m from out of town so she gave me some to go containers of the bread dipping sauce. Soooo good!

My fiancé and I were so excited to have a date night here. We were sat immediately by the sweetest hostess, we waited about 15 to 20 minutes before our order was taken and honestly we were okay with waiting a bit but after waiting a while our very sweet server came to take our order and then the head chef or manager not long after came to check on us and apologized for the wait and took care of our entire order. We absolutely did not expect this but very thankful that this restaurant took care of us the way that they did and the food was by far the best meal we have had from any restaurant in the Springfield area. The service was excellent and the food couldn’t have been better!
