If you want to dine at the best place around, Retro Metro is the place. Chef Tiny, Chef Hana, and T will provide the meal that you won't forget. Friday night prime rib is absolutely the best I've ever had. The bar staff is amazing. If you don't believe me, go see Bre, Maddie, Kerrin, Chase, Erin, and Clayton. Best bar staff around, hands down. Servers are just another reason this restaurant stands above the rest. Kevin, Cassidy, Madison, and Selena will make your dining experience unforgettable. But let's not stop there. You'll realize this place is in a league of its own from the second Mattie and the rest of the hostesses greet you at the front door. This place gets a 100 out of 10. I could not recommend a better place for the most amazing food, great times, and meeting friends that you never knew you had.

The BEST birthday dinner experience I’ve ever had. My sister and I had a joint birthday dinner at Retro Metro with a large group of 11. The atmosphere was great and the party room was perfect for a more secluded experience with a group celebrating. The food was insanely delicious and the drinks were amazing! ALL staff were incredible, especially our waitress Maddi. She was PHENOMENAL!Everyone had a variety of food; oysters Rockefeller, calamari, Yocum Auto, onion soup, filet tips, ribeye, etc. Nobody left hungry or disappointed! To end the evening my sister and I were treated to a dessert on the house. Both of us picked the seasonal pie which was a blackberry custard, mouthwatering delicious! Can’t rave enough about the entirety of the experience.

The service was very good as our waiter, Kevin, was very attentive. We ordered two appetizers, soup, salad, and the strip loin steak. The food was beyond delicious, as this restaurant has become a top three favorite in the Springfield area. 
Retro Metro continues to make perfect steaks after 3 visits! The last visit was for Valentines Day, so we waited for drinks and food a lot longer than usual, but the service itself was great. I wish the space was larger because if you get a center table, you get bumped and feel cramped. Food is overall just delicious!

We ate in the Retro Room, which was quiet and comfortable. Our server could not have been more attentive, or nicer. The wine (Love You Bunches 2022} was an unexpected pleasure from Stolpman Vineyards, which we have visited and enjoyed. Both of our entrees were well-prepared of fresh, quality ingredients; unfortunately the chef was somewhat heavy-handed with the salt in both the carbonara and the risotto (served with the halibut). Creme brulee was excellent. We'll be back, of course; we'll just ask for less salt.

Retro Metro is really good. It is also kind of expensive as well. To me it seems a little crowded and noisy for the pricing. However, the food is good and the serving team was great.

First time here with a large party. We typically go to Flame or Char, but heard good things and wanted to try it out. The waiter we had was super short in responses when we asked questions about the items on the menu. Some of us have food intolerances and needed the waiter to clarify some things. Our water was never refilled and we had to go to the bar to get our drinks refilled numerous times. Waiter never checked on our food after it was delivered. Food was terrific, but we were not impressed for the level of service that was expected. We ran into another couple we knew and they were sitting by us, also complaining about the lack of service. Also, the payment service... do not have your waiter standing behind you when you insert your card to pay, watch you enter your tip option, and “suggest” a tip amount. Super uncomfortable payment process and definitely needs to be looked into.
