Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard

I USE TO GO TO RITA'S ONCE A WEEK BUT I HAVEN'T BEEN THERE IN A BIT BUT I LOVE THEIR ITALIAN ICE AND GELOTO ALWAYS SATISFYING AND VERY GOOD ON A HOT DAY. KEEPS WELL IN THE FREEZER

15/10! My family and I LOVED this place. We hadn’t ever been before, and the woman who helped us walked us through the menu and gave us samples! Much appreciated!We will definitely be back!

Rita’s catered my daughter’s wedding earlier this month. We wanted to do something fun and unique for an outdoor August wedding and Rita’s was perfect! Everyone LOVED it and we had so many people compliment us on this fun treat during our cocktail hour. Justine was great to work with and on top of that, she even sent us some of the cutest photos she had taken while there at the cocktail hour/reception. Rita’s has also been to my school many times to cater for students and teachers…and they are always a hit with people of ALL ages! Rita’s Italian Ice is not a snow cone ….it is 1000x better than that! Plus, they have custard too and it’s also delicious! Go give them a try!! We are so fortunate to have Rita’s here local. I believe they are the only one in Missouri, although they started on the East Coast and are super popular there. Go give them some support to keep them here!

We love Rita’s! They offer samples of everything and have such a friendly atmosphere. Everything is made fresh daily and it is delicious, the cotton candy ice is AMAZING.

Justine, the owner, is such a lovely person and I love that she takes time to learn more about her customers. In a world that is so fast-paced, it’s refreshing to slow down and enjoy a sweet treat and some wonderful conversation.

Their custard seems smoother and creamier than others. The combo of the Italian ice and the custard (gelato) is phenomenal! It's not just custard and sundaes. They are open daily, with varying hours, and they also update their daily flavors. They offer unique items like Gelati, Concretes, and Blenders (Italian Ice blended with custard).
This is a window walk-up establishment only. No indoor seating however they do have picnic tables and usually in the shade.

Seems like a really nice little place. Worth trying out. Unfortunately I just don't think the custard/ice combination is for me.

Stopped by here and glad we did. They were so kind and helped me find flavors with no artificial colors. Will definitely come back.

Beyond excited to find this place in Springfield. Didn’t have as many options as back East but everything we had was as good as we remember

Went here for a summer bucket list stop! We’ve only had Italian ice from the grocery store. This was good stuff! Spoke with Justine, she told us all about everything and how it was made fresh daily. Wish we would have tried the custard or the custard and Italian ice combined. She let the boys sample several types until they settled in on an option. Check it out! We will be back and update the review on the custard!

We come here often, everything is homemade and wonderful. I love the owner she is so sweet, nice and always takes amazing care of us. Truly I want everyone to come here and experience this. 10/10

I have never ever thrown away ice cream or frozen custard away in my LIFE. Rita put me there. Despicable. No flavor. Rita should reconsider her career choice.
