Rocco's Pizza South Springfield

If you have celiac, a gluten intolerance, or any allergy do not eat here. I ordered a gluten-free pizza and specifically told them I had an allergy. They brought out my pizza telling me it was the gluten-free pizza. I ate an entire piece before I was thinking to myself “this tastes way too good to be gluten-free . And it turns out it was not gluten-free”. Again, I have celiac; I am literally allergic to gluten. The staff completely dismissed it, and when my family was done eating their pizza, I went to the front and asked if we could have some of our bill refunded. I did not eat the gluten-free pizzas that they brought out (they brought out two even though I only ordered one) because I didn’t trust that it was actually gluten-free since they served me gluten to begin with. However, my son did eat a piece of one of the gluten-free pizzas and because of that they refused to refund it and refunded the other one. The owner refused to come out and talk to me. I could hear her in the back saying that I would not be able to be refunded because the pizza was eaten. And instead of letting my family take home the extra gluten free pizza that was untouched, they took it and said that we couldn’t have it since it was being refunded. It was honestly such a bizarre and discouraging experience. I had to leave early for my dad‘s birthday that we were celebrating there so that I could go take medication because of my gluten allergy. In my opinion, they should have comped the entire bill. But they fought me on refunding one $12 pizza because my toddler ate a piece since I was unable to eat it. This is the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had and for that, I definitely do not recommend eating here, especially if you have any allergies.

This marks my “third strike” with this place. Literally no voicemail when they are closed. You have to drive there to see their sign on the door with their new hours. They didn’t have change the last time I tried to pay cash. Now that is completely unacceptable. I’m really sick and tired of restaurants that don’t have good management. This place is one of them.

I arrived to see a girl talking to an individual through their revolving door and a kid standing beside me holding an empty cup wanting a refill. I finally got the girls attention. She said I seat myself. I sat down. Three mins later she looks over at a family that sat down. She said, I just want to let you all know, we close at 9. It’s 816. The guy got upset He said we have to be done by exactly 9? She responded “I’m leaving at 9. He said we will take our business elsewhere. I stood up infer I own a business and would never say you have to leave by 5 exactly. The guy thanked me for confronting her and we all left. Unbelievable.

Had the pepperoni bread sticks, meat lovers pizza, and the John's salad. The bread sticks were great but the dipping sauce was thinner than expected and it didn't really stick to the breadstick (this may be just a style I'm not used to, didn't taste bad). The pizza was great, all the toppings were delicious. The crust was thin but floppy, which wasn't great for the kids but I loved it

Called and placed online order and it was ready in 10 minutes. Friendly staff and good food. I got the cheese pizza and toasted raviolis.

Come here very often worse pizza I ever received. Hardly any cheese guess I came too close to closing don’t usually go on Sunday want be back again on sunday
