Best Philly cheesesteak I’ve ever had! Everything was fresh and hot. My husband had a shrimp Poboy sandwich. He said it was amazing. Will definitely be back.

Stopped in for Sunday lunch and it was pretty empty customer wise. We got the fish platter with Mac and cheese and corn. Mac and cheese was watery and the corn had soured. I set it at the end of the table and could smell it the whole time. The fish was okay. Meaty filets but the breading is overly salted. Wasn’t a fan of the tartar sauce. Didn’t have any pickles in it. Just tasted like lightly seasoned mayo. I like my tartar sauce a little sweeter. Also couldn’t have been served with lemons/lemon juice for the fish.
Maybe it was a bad day not sure.

UPDATE..7.14.25 ROACHES! FLIES! WENT AND CHECKED OUT RECENT FOOD INSPECTION BEFORE I DECIDED TO CALL HEALTH DEPT! It was already included in last inspection.. will never eat here again..Tried for first time! Saw chicken livers on menu and was excited! But, overcooked and tasted like the oil fries were cooked in. Fries were good. My friends Philly cheese steak sandwich was good also. Prices were fair and man working, not sure if owner, very friendly.

I was so impressed with the quality of food prepared in this little establishment that I can't say enough. We had the Catfish and Shrimp Platter and a Shrimp Po Boy with fried pickles. The food was seasoned to perfection. Will definitely be back again. 😋

Coleslaw and fries were fairly good -- everything else was not. Fried fish - filets were thin with as much breading as fish and the fish meat inside the breading was mushy -- fish was over cooked/hard and very salty. One person in our group ordered chicken strips, also over salted and way, way too much garlic and I like garlic ...as if the chicken was marinated in garlic juice. For a restaurant having just opened for the day, the floor was sticky under my feet at the booth, the men's restroom had cobwebs at eye level, and neither restroom had paper towels. Overall decor of the seating area was nicer than expected.

I called Sam’s Southern Eatery to report finding a hair in my food. The man who took my order already had an attitude when I placed it, and when I called to report the issue, he was extremely dismissive and hung up on me mid-conversation. This level of customer service is completely unacceptable and very disappointing.

I wasn't expecting much when we stumbled across this little place. We'll were just looking for some fried mushrooms. This little Cajun place is amazing! We'll be back to try more to support this small business.

We weren't expecting much when we were searching for a place that serves fried mushrooms. We stumbled across this little gem and we're so happy we did! We got the 4 fish meal with green beans, fried mushrooms, red beans and rice (recommended by the worker as well), and the Philly cheese steak. It's all finger licking good!
