Every few months I give in and make space in my calories for a chili 5 way with no cheese (so I guess it’s a 4 way) but the last couple of times it’s been watery noodles, 3 beans and no chili meat. Almost as if the noodles were slopped in there without draining the water and like a teaspoon of chili… I get that it’s probably young kids working but it’s never been exceptional service or even mediocre. I’ll try again at another location

I waited in the drive though for over 20 minutes and there was one car in front of me. Instead of having them pull forward to wait for their food they just let the line back up further and further. When I got up to the window they weren't very friendly after I had waited forever and I saw a guy sneeze towards the food and not even try to cover his mouth or turn his head, then proceeded to work like nothing happened. I sent an email to them explaining all of this and I never got a response. They don't know what customer service is and they are dirty. Seems like a bunch of rude people that don't care. I love steak n shake but this location gives the brand a very bad look and I'll never go back. Since I'm not going to drive all the way across town for food I guess I won't be eating steak n shake anymore.

I have been to this location off and on for 20 years now, and every time I come through the drive-thru everything is wrong. It's worse than the McDonald's right down the road that I have reviewed before. The order is never right, the food is never fresh, and the service is absolutely non-existent. Every other steak 'n Shake in Springfield is amazing. Go ahead and drive past this one.

We got a carryout order on 1/15 at around 11 p.m and we got a couple of steak burgers and I got the garlic bun steak burger and it was sooooo good!!! The chili cheese fries are boooomb!!!! Appreciate y'all checking the order and making sure everything was there the cooks back there are killing it!!! Give these guys a raise!!! It was a super delicious meal and the guy on the speaker he needs a raise I know people can be nasty towards food service workers and that guy is so nice every single time!!! Again thank you!!

They have raised their prices but still offer an affordable meal. The cook was very slow but the waitress made me a fresh pot of coffee and even gave me a cut to go. We like the food and will return for a good burger.

I had an amazing experience at Steak 'n Shake, thanks to Hannah G! She was friendly, attentive, and made sure our meal was perfect. Her service was quick, and she had a great positive attitude that made the dining experience even better. Highly recommend her service if you're ever in the area!

I LOVE steak and shake since I was a kid and the 5.25 meal is SUCH a good deal. This occasion however I entered this restaurant and smelt a pungent aroma of burnt rubber. This brought me back to my childhood of how my uncle would dress up like a woman. Whenever I entered this establishment I was greeted by a very well dressed bald man. Which also reminded me of my childhood of how my uncle would dress up as a woman. Food good.

We waited 10 minutes for our food. They gave me the wrong drink, the fries were so old and hard i couldn't eat them, and our burgers were cold and soggy. the guy at the window was not kind and neither was the woman that brought our food. extremely disappointed in this and i will not be coming back to this location. i wish i could get my money back.
