Fast and very friendly service nothing but praise on that end.The food was really good. Taco's I got were chorizo, chicken, and pork. They were each really good, for street tacos I thought they were a big small but still very filling.The main thing stopping it from being 5 stars was the rice and beans. For an extra $2.99/3.99 (can't remember) you could add rice and beans to the order. You got an extremely small portion of each. The rice was okay and the beans were a little hard and were dry and seemed to of been old. I'm sure if I had their fresh beans I'd have a different opinion. Would go again but maybe not on slow days

I thought this was the old rice house. It is not! The food was so nasty and not authentic. When I went here, the sign was not changed!!! Once I went inside and saw the new owners or whatever, I was very surprised. My spring rolls were cold on the inside. The rice DID NOT taste like Asian food. The cashew chicken DID NOT taste like Asian food. The sign on the door said Asian food.

$15 a plate, I only had guacamole and a beer but it was really good. The menu had a lot of good choices.
The rice was good. The beans were fantastic! The chimichanga was outstanding! Great food! Their house margarita is good, although I think it could use more alcohol—for real, no joke. Overall I highly recommend this restaurant!

What is the disconnect between this location and the original on Sunshine?? I started going to the sunshine location over a year ago and fell in love with it. Staff, food, atmosphere….all outstanding. When the Kimbrough location opened, I can’t express how excited I was because it’s located closer and I love to see good business expanding. That being said……WOW….. the short plump girl who works the front desk is an absolute NIGHTMARE. If this location closes, it’s because of her! The attitude and incompetence towards customers is bar none, the worst in Springfield. I have been to this location probably over 8 times now and without missing a beat, every single time, she is rude, short, and not only someone you don’t want to deal with that works at one of your favorite restaurants, but someone I wouldn’t want to be near even outside of her job. Tonight was the final straw with what happened and how she acted. I will definitely still be enjoying Tacos El Champu, but never again at this location.
