Today was my first time visiting this taqueria. It is small. So if people order and step outside, it gives others space to order at the register. The food was amazing!! They have dollar taco days, but I only paid attention to Thursday (today). They have a big selection of meats to choose from. The tortillas are the small street taco kind, but we'll served. This is truly AUTHENTIC Mexican food! But I only focused on all the tacos I bought. I will definitely be going back!
If I could recommend only one place to try in Springfield, it would be Tacos El Gordo. We always feel so welcomed when we eat here. Their food is authentic, fresh and made with love. Great specials! There is still so much I want to try on the menu.
Tacos El Gordo is proof that happiness really does come in taco form. The mural outside pulls you in, but it’s the $1 tacos on Mondays and Thursdays that keep you coming back (and waddling out). I tried four meats, my partner went veggie, and we were both grinning like kids on Christmas.
