Service was absolutely less than pleasant. Buffet was empty and looked horrible. Gordito, tacos and burritos was extremely soggy due to not straining out the overwhelming amount of juice. Would never go back or recommend.

The best authentic Mexican around! Highly recommend! Tuesday buffets are amazing. So far, everything we've had is absolutely delicious!

The buffet was really good, alot to try! They need to have sour cream, shredded cheese, lettuce and definitely diced onions to put on your tacos other than that you won't leave hungry. Also I recommend mango margaritas, omg amazing! The best!

I moved recently and have been looking for a go to Mexican restaurant. This was it. Delicious food (I had a fajita burrito), reasonable prices, friendly staff, good variety, and a cheerful atmosphere make this a great place to eat.

Hours are wrong and they don't care. Food is great but the rewards system and service is terrible.

First off their burritos are very small
Like Taco Bell small for 10.00
Second, beans were cold so was the cheese
Was hard to enjoy, I was starving so I just ate it

Lastly, when you order pick up or takeout, they don’t call you up to the counter. They set your food up there and wait for you to come up and ask for it. Even though they give you a number they never call it.

This happened to me before and I waited 25 minutes and by the time I picked up my food, it was cold. This all came back to me tonight.

Next time I’m going to Purple Burrito

If I could recommend only one place to try in Springfield, it would be Tacos El Gordo. We always feel so welcomed when we eat here. Their food is authentic, fresh and made with love. Great specials! There is still so much I want to try on the menu.

Typical Mexican restaurant. Nothing special.

My big issue is this: I saw what looked like a delicious version of queso on the menu. Turned out to be something else. That was my fault.

However, what I received was a bowl of runny white cheese (much more so than normal) with very little flavor. The bowl was the size you pour your salsa into. And it was $5!!

I asked the server to take it off the bill. She refused. Granted it was taco Tuesday. And even with a very generous tip ($5 — I was a bit vocal and wanted to let myself and them know that I’m not “that guy”) the bill was only $17. (The tip wasn’t even acknowledge by the cashier who was also our server).

But the refusal to remove an item the customer didn’t care for signals an establishment that simple doesn’t care about its customers. I prefer to eat an establishments that DO care about their customers.

So, I will never eat here again.

Took awhile to get food. The chips were cold and my tacos were barely warm by the time they brought them.
