Second time visiting. First time tacos were tasty, brought the rest of the family back. Family of 5, auto-charged 15% gratuity. Ordered two small margaritas, brought us two large and said we ordered large. Kids meals are deep fried Sam’s Club fries and nuggets. My street tacos were pretty tasty but between the foul attitude of the server, not speaking clear enough English to keep messing up orders and then charging us for their mistakes, we won’t be back. Out of 5 tables with guests ours and another had their meals wrong, but server insisted she was correct…”No, I wrote down 2 large margaritas” and shows me on her pad of paper. The margaritas were all sweet and sour mix, worst I’ve had in Springfield. The tomatillo salsa in bottle that was brought out with chips, fermented and had to be thrown away and replaced. The replaced bottle was tasty, but food safety issue not having any expiration on home made salsas. It was also about 85 degrees in the restaurant, our kids drinks didn’t even have ice in them. Our total for 5, on taco Tuesday… $80

Tiny greasy gorditas, flavorless rice, strange herb taste in tamale [rosemary?],
horrible slow service and long wait times for food and to even get your check,
another waste of money crap food spot that counts on you sitting there like a fool or trying to hunt one of them down just to pay and leave,
with how much time they spend watching tv or in back you can easily just walk out on them if your a scummy person

If I could give 0 stars I would
From the moment we walked in, we were ignored by the staff. No greeting, no acknowledgment – just completely overlooked. When we finally got someone’s attention and received our food, it was horrible. We took one bite and politely asked to speak to a manager.
Instead of handling the situation professionally, the server became aggressive and started yelling at us. Things escalated quickly when she ran to the back and brought out what appeared to be family members or friends, who proceeded to surround us and intimidate us until we paid.
We were just trying to leave when they actually followed us outside and attempted to start a physical altercation. It was completely uncalled for and honestly frightening.
This was hands-down the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. The behavior from the staff was beyond unacceptable. Save yourself the trouble and stay far away from this place.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place was beyond disappointing. The customer service was TRASH. The staff were rude and completely unaccommodating from the moment we walked in. When we had a valid concern and asked to speak to a manager, we were flat-out ignored and denied that right.
To make matters worse, when things escalated, the staff suddenly switched to speaking Spanish — not English — clearly trying to exclude us from the conversation instead of resolving the issue professionally. It felt disrespectful and shady.
Save yourself the frustration and go literally anywhere else. This was a waste of time, money, and patience.

Restaurantji Recommends
Tacos are decent if you’re willing to wait for them. Service is terrible every single time. I’ve been here 4 or 5 times and every time it’s just bad. No sense of urgency at all. Margaritas are neon and straight sugar. I don’t recommend this place at all unless it’s convenient for you to wait 10 mins to get sat at an empty restaurant.

Coming from Texas where the quesabirria market is full, this place stands out to me. The tacos were so delicious, soft yet crunchy, and filling.
The dip was just as amazing, not being overwhelming in one flavor or the next! We were fortunate enough to come when they weren’t busy and the food came out super quick!
Definitely recommend and definitely will be coming back!

TRULY AUTHENTIC!!
I had the chimichanga meal. Enough for 2!!
Chips with salsa was 🤩. Just be careful with the salsa in the red squeeze bottle if you are sensitive to spicy salsa.
The regular salsa is even tasting, not too spicy.
The lemonade with cucumber is to die for!!
You won’t be disappointed.

We just moved to Springfield from ABQ New Mexico and we were missing our Mexican Food. Taqueria Cachanilla is IT. The Chorizo Sopes were reasonably priced and incredibly tasty. We have been back a few times and will continue to come back!!
