Taqueria Cachanilla

We just moved to Springfield from ABQ New Mexico and we were missing our Mexican Food. Taqueria Cachanilla is IT. The Chorizo Sopes were reasonably priced and incredibly tasty. We have been back a few times and will continue to come back!!

I loved eating here until my recent visit the waitress was nothing but rude. I received cold food and when she was told she just went on saying there was no way it could be. I also ordered a margarita and didn’t even receive it until I was ready to leave I asked her to take it off and she thought we weren’t going to pay. She was very hostile.. I’d give zero stars if I could!

Excellent location in center of town.
Prices reasonable.

This place is in my top 4 favorite Mexican restaurants in Springfield. It's one of the most underrated places in town.

Finally after almost 10 yrs I have found a Mexican food restaurant that knows how to properly make pico de gallo I am so happy. Onions tomatoes cilantro and jalapenos this place is great just on their pico alone my new go to restaurant

I’ve been on the hunt for the type of torta I knew and loved in Chicago, and I found it here. The carnitas are well seared and braised, both crunchy and tender in all the right ways. Just a really well made torta! Next time I will ask if I can add beans and jalapeños to really have it like I did at my old spots.

The quesabirria is on point, too! Very strong beef flavor and great consommé. We’ll definitely be back!

Such a cute, cozy, colorful place! Tastefully decorated with the pizzazz of the Mexican culture. Food and service were excellent and generous servings. Lots of seafood entrées! Easy parking. We will definitely return.

We randomly stopped here, and I am so glad we did! The food and drink options are fantastic. We'll definitely go here again. The music was also excellent. They have a nice beer and cocktail selection. I had a michalada, and it was enormous and delicious. We had tamales, a pupusa, lengua tacos, and of course rice and beans. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and their salsas were excellent. We were way too full for dessert, but there's always next time!

Would leave 0 stars.
They lie about their hours. They are not open (at least after midnight). This causes nothing but drunk drivers around Springfield.
Please change your hours if you’re. Reputable business. Otherwise, realize you’re a detriment to society by encouraging people to drive after they’re drunk because you say you are open, but you obviously are not unless you enjoy profiting off that.

Place was incredible!!! Food was outstanding and the service was 5 star, I highly recommend 👌
