Fantastic food, very nice staff! By far the best miso soup I’ve ever had. We will absolutely be back! Great way to spend our anniversary dinner!

Shame on me for not rating this until now. My husband and I have been coming to Umi for 15 years, since we first started dating. We've had one of our first dates here. We ate here the day we got married. And many, many anniversaries, birthdays, and valentine's days in between. This place is very near and dear to our hearts. We came here tonight for an early V-day celebration. Everything was still just as good as it's always been and we are so grateful they haven't changed their recipes. We always come here for sushi, and even after all this time, it's still the best in town.

Great food, great atmosphere. The staff works hard and takes care of all the diners, many who have become regulars. Highly recommend.

It's a little hole in the wall it seems. The food is fresh and amazingly seasoned. The staff is sweet and attentive. I've never had better sushi

Definitely my favorite sushi place in Springfield. I've lived in the area my whole life and tried nearly every sushi in town. For the best food for the cost, I always recommend Umi for sushi.

They generously gave my group of four complimentary soup and salad, bringing it out immediately after we ordered. The miso soup was on the saltier side, and the salad dressing was thick and had a strong tang. Our appetizer, the Unagidonburi, contained eel with edible bones. The dish that was supposed to come with the soup and salad, the Salmon Hibachi, was okay

For sushi, we got one of the Umi Combinations, specifically the '*S.R. / Special Roll Combo,' which included the Kissy Kissy, Touch Down, and Geisha. I have a low tolerance for spicy foods, so the Touch Down Roll was spicy for me. The Geisha Roll was your typical premium roll. The Kissy Kissy Roll was fried, which helped change up the palate by adding a crunch. Overall, I had an uneventful experience, which isn't a bad thing by any means.
