My aunt and I both had a hamburger off the menu ,was not a fan of it at all , both of us were ill afterwards for a couple of days sadly . Took 20 minutes of driving around to just find a place to park .

Went off of reviews and they are usually right but not in this case. We were greeted aa soon as we came in but Noone took out order for about 15 minutes. We then wait 30 minutes for our food. My husband purchased the 1/2 lb burger and I purchased the Philadelphia sandwich. The burger tasted like all they did was roll up hamburger meat and cook it. And my sandwich tasted like the steak was burnt, did have very many vegetables or cheeae and the bun was greasy. It was not good, nor was the service.

We usually come in for drinks because I love the relaxed atmosphere—it’s never too rowdy, and the prices are fantastic. We decided to try the food for the first time recently, and it did not disappoint! Everything was amazing, especially the mozzarella sticks. Five stars all around!

Walleye Wednesday at a hole in the wall restaurant. Do it, make the time. Homemade fries and hushpuppies, and battered fried fish fillets. Large fish fillets. This is not uptown fancy. This is down home, filling. Actually not even down home. Bar room, bring your food and let you eat it in peace because they know you won't need anything more. More men eating here than women, but not scary.
I saw a banner on the wall celebrating 45 years in business. With consistent fish-fry food like you get on Walleye Wednesday (haven't done their other days...) they will be there another 45.

Im late getting this in. I can not tell enough people, ever, about this place!!! We stumbled in during covid, needed food, cold beer and just a place to sit down. I was shook by this place!! The food is fabulous and that's an understatement. Need i have to say anything about COLD beer!!!! And everyone is awesome!!! Anytime I get thru Springfield, I live stopping. This last time, ( we live in kansas) my son in law said it was the BEST burger he had ever had! Thank WF Cody's for being the best for me!! Always looking forward to stopping!!!

I have always LOVED this place until they stopped playing music unless somebody buys a song on the jukebox. I’ve kinda quit going mostly for that reason. The atmosphere is very quiet and off when there’s no music playing and I just don’t enjoy it as much. The food and service have always been great! But I don’t want to spend $10 on music and be the DJ to not have to sit in silence. Please bring the music back!
