Great BBQ many sauces to try and great selection of food. Smoked food explosion in your mouth . I have been many times now and try to have something differnt every time. I have found in my opinion the best smoked sausage I have ever ate. Not only is there sausage great but ther brisket,chicken,and pulled pork are excellent. I would recommend this place to everyone...

Food 2: tastes like 3, MAYBE 4 stars, but on principle 2. We got to the register, she asked the cook if they had enough, heard the cook say at first they didn’t have enough product to make our orders, then they said they did and we got the last of it. Plates came out with different amounts of brisket even tho it was the same order. So they either go by sight, or don’t weigh evenly. It was roughly an hour before close so I anticipated the possibility of items out of stock, but would rather be told no then yes and not get what you pay for. Burnt ends creamy corn was great. Brisket was different than the sandwich I remember from the north location. Let down after this experience. Hostess ringing us up was great and friendly tho.Service is 3: although cashier was Great, we did the bogo 1/2 off for our $18 plate, and somehow paid $33, and no explanation or reason or premium sides or regular sides.Atmosphere is 2: there’s no structure, they took our order told us where the cups were, let us go and seat ourselves, called our number and we had to go get it. I can’t imagine the chaos when it’s busy.As a foodie, overall experience was a let down.

Very good barbeque. The place was clean. We got there at the end of lunch around 1:30ish. Didn't have to wait. Ordered our food and was lucky to get the last of the ribs. Very tasty meat, both tubs and pulled pork, and very tender!The drink dispenser was problematic, it took forever to dispenser. Big problem was that they were out of Dr. Pepper and Root beer... And the diet Coke needed calibration, too much carbonation or not enough syrup... Or whatever. The gal at the counter didn't seem to be able to fix that problem and no one else in the back came out to help. I would think they would have discounted or offered me something to appease my unhappiness at not being able to get exactly what I wanted.My solution for the future would be to check the fountain drinks before I order. But understand this, I will go back because the barbeque is that good.

A friend and I ate lunch there yesterday at the one on Sunshine. The food had always been good in the past, but yesterday it was unacceptable. I ordered the smoked chicken w/o bread and 3 sides. The meat was okay but cold; the baked beans were cold; the potatoes were over salted. Of course, there was only like a tablespoon of coleslaw. I spent $11 on this meal and was very disappointed. I doubt I will go back.

I will really look naive, maybe, but I will never order takeout through grubhub again, the whole hog cafe site links you to them to order food for pickup, in grubhub they tell you that there is no charge for that service, then at Arriving at the restaurant for my food I see that the receipt there is 35 dollars and that I paid 65 dollars online, grubhub having other prices for the same menu charged 30 dollars more, I mean it really felt like a robbery, almost Double the price to go pick up my food myself, it's unfair. Better to call the restaurant to order the food, I felt like Grubhub scammed me

Whole Hog is my go-to spot for a pulled pork sandy! I usually go for the lunch special - pulled pork or pulled chicken with chips for $9 two sides for $11. My favorite part is trying all the sauces they have available - they've got 6 options in the table if you dine in (sauce #3 is the best), with an additional spicy sauce (Volcano) upon request. Definitely give them a try!!

Sneaky 2.99% charge added to all "non-cash" orders. This charge isn't declared upon checkout and no signage indicating the added fee for credit cards, at least not a noticeable one. The burnt ends and cheesy corn are fantastic but as a long term Springfield staple, they should know how customers respond to undeclared fees.
