This place has changed hands and now has a different name but is in the same location. Zero atmosphere. I was hopeful because the hostess / server was so pleasant and friendly, but the food was disappointing and some of it was cold.

I had coffee and a vegetable skillet, my husband had ice tea and a meat skillet. Neither skillet meal was hot, why serve in an aluminum skillet if the food is just warm? Husband medium eggs were cooked perfectly. His ice tea was very good. The coffee was not great, not very flavorful or smelling like a good store brand coffee .my scrambled eggs were ok, but not hot enough to melt the cheese they sprinkled over them. The biscuits were ok and hash browns weren't burnt. We will not be eating there again

Wow...this place used to be good. I guess when I got there on a Wednesday morning at 7:30 and there was only one person there, I should've figured out something was wrong. The waitress was very good, but it was n one of the worst breakfast I'd ever had. I got the Mexican omelet, it was like wrapping vegetables in a piece of cardboard, no flavor, I had to put salsa, sour cream and hot sauce on it to even have a taste. Biscuits and gravy was cold. Water gravy and flour patty that resembled a biscuit, terrible. Granddaughter got French toast and appeared to be two pieces of toast with syrup... other meal was a California skillet, avocado was not ripe and we left it there. All this for $48 00...

My wife had a salad with grilled chicken. The chicken was so hard it was not even edible. We rarely say anything when issues arise at any restaurant, as things happen. But when 80% of your food is not fit for consumption, you mention it. They gave us 10% off the single entrée. Hmmm. Service was wonderful and we've eaten many good meals here. I give MANY good reviews to establishments that I love. I don't feel too bad sharing the few bad ones when I don't entirely agree with the management's decision. Thank you.

Sometimes we like to try a new place. But don’t try City Cafe as your new place. They had a hard time getting our sides (biscuits & gravy, pancakes) out in a timely manner. We needed to remind them several times about the issues and jelly. And our waiter sat down frequently to talk with a friend while we were there.
