Food came out FAST! We got the loaded fries for an app and kale salads with added salmon. Everything tasted great! Our server was attentive. The salmon came in flakes/pieces instead of a filet which I thought was a bit strange but it worked! The patio was a great vibe. Music was all over the place genre-wise and did not match the chill patio feel.

My wife and I went to St Charles on 4/13/24 to get away for the day. We seen most of the shops and ate at a couple different places but, Salt and Smoke blew us away with their brisket. We love brisket and this place went above and beyond our expectations. It was so tender that it melted in your mouth. We ordered our food and within a minute the food was brought to the table. Our waitress (wish I could remember her name) was continually asking if we needed anything, which we didn't. We were so mesmerized by the meats that we ended the meal wanting more. Unfortunately we could not because we had already stuffed ourselves. I want to thank and congradulate all of the staff that worked that day for an amazing experience. Salt and Smoke is a St. Charles staple and brings great bbq to historic main. The food is good, the service is great, and the value is about right.The only complaints are both the size of the sides, portions for the meat plates, and the generally salty popover. Deviled eggs lean on the side of mayo rather than mustard, potato salad does as well and excludes eggs giving a blander flavor. Brisket is well seasoned, sauces were welcome, and the Mac and cheese is to die for.

I am not sure how we ended up here but I am glad we did. We had a variety of meals for a late lunch. And as everyone was full I got the only dessert. Some how my wife found room to eat half. It looked like cake but it was so much more.This was one of the best places I ate on my trip to St. Louis.

Best BBQ brisket sandwich I've ever had, and some amazing pit baked beans. Sweet tea was excellent too. Patio seating is gorgeous. I look forward to visiting again sometime in the future.

They truly have one of the most amazing patios. We are so glad we stayed in St. Charles a little longer after being in town for a wedding to try this place. Our server Tony was awesome. He provided us really attentive service and great recommendations. IF YOU DO NOT GET THE WINGS. YOU WILL BE MISSING OUT! Wonderful bbq sauce offerings but we loved the hotangy the most. Great food, service etc. I mean we really want to come back just for this place.
