The Main House is absolutely beautiful inside! But I love everything about Mainstreet anyways. The food and the service was excellent!!! Chip the owner and manager is fantastic. We are huge fans of all the Napoli resteraunts, so if you love those, your going to absolutely love this one too!

My wife and I had a wonderful meal at The Main House yesterday to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary. The meal was wonderful. I highly recommend it as a place to go for a special dinner.

Great option for a nice meal on Main Street, everyone should be able to find something they like, patio has a good view of the Park & the river.

We have not been here for over a year. Love the menu and the umbrellas on the patio. Food was delicious and staff so welcoming and cordial. Will come back. The place was packed on a Wednesday. That is saying something!!

Three of us got the steak and it was excellent. Our fourth diner got the halibut special and loved it.

I fell in love with their Blackened Chicken Alfredo, unfortunately my last 2 visits have been lackluster. Before the sauce was a balance of creaminess, pepper & garlic but now it's not as flavorful and this visit was dry :(

Everything was delicious. The ravioli appetizer, the scallops and the chicken and risotto. The service was quick and friendly.

The food was great, but took quite a while to receive our food and there were gnats and flies everywhere which made the experience a little unpleasant

This was my first time at Main House. Everything met my hopes. The restaurant is very cozy and well decorated. The service was impeccable. The food exceeded my expectations. Will definitely go back.

I visited the Main House recently while staying with relatives and was sorely disappointed. We went for dinner and the prices were atrocious - worse than Boston or New York. Each course costs $50.00 a piece for three of us. There were no rolls, salads or extras. The server was rude and acted like he did not want to be there. We asked if anything went with the course and he said abruptly NO! The food portions were small and okay but nothing special. We each ordered a wine and the total bill was $200.00 This is outrageous for a place in St. Charles MO. We will never return!

Our service was below par. Our waitress forgot my salad completely. When I told her, she said I thought that was supposed to be your dinner. I explained nicely that I ordered the salad and an entree. When I ordered she ASKED me if I wanted the salad before my dinner and I said yes. I am not sure why this was not clear. Someone else brought out the salad and apologized. The 3 others at our table received their entrees, but I did not. I waited a long time to get her attention. The others were halfway through their meal. I finally got her attention and told her that I did not get my entree. She started looking through her tickets and appeared to be confused. Finally, she found our ticket and said, oh I did write it down. Then she asked if I STILL wanted my meal? I said yes, I do. By the time I received my meal the others at the table had finished their food. She never returned to refill our water and that was all we were drinking. She never once came over to ask how our meal was. Either she was a brand-new waitress or a very poor one. We were really disappointed. Our bill for 2 meals and a salad was $75.00. I was very surprised that the restaurant did not comp my meal. I didn't ask, but in retrospect I think that I should have.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and buzzing with energy. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and seated us promptly, setting the tone for a memorable evening. The food was nothing short of spectacular. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients.

Great location, service was good. The quality of the food was okay. Not many choices with entree. Side comes with entree extra if you want a salad. Alacarte restaurants are not my preference typically the food is not any better but more costly. No bread was provided my wife asked for some the waitress said she would bring some it never happened. Love the location I wanted a steak my go to steak is the ribeye which was $75 if it was all inclusive maybe not that bad of a price but only at 14 ounces. Had the hangar steak is was a good option.

This restaurant fits the bill for our family of four (two teens). Dress up or dress down for this cozy yet energetic space. A great menu that has a nice range of options and price points. Everything we have ordered would be worth ordering again. Great burgers! Sophisticated and delicious salads too. Service is always attentive and hospitable. We have been three times and look forward to the next visit.

A Culinary Gem on Historic Main Street

The Main House is an absolute standout nestled in the heart of historic Main Street in Saint Charles. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed by a warm, upscale ambiance that strikes the perfect balance between elegance and comfort.

The highlight of the evening? Without a doubt, the filet. It’s melt-in-your-mouth tender, expertly prepared, and seasoned to perfection—truly one of the best I’ve ever had, and that’s saying something. It easily rivals (or surpasses) any high-end steakhouse experience.

The appetizers are equally impressive, offering a range of creative and delicious options that are perfect for sharing—or keeping to yourself. Each bite shows attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

The staff is another reason this place shines. Attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, they make you feel genuinely welcome and ensure every part of your dining experience is smooth and enjoyable.

Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just treating yourself to a memorable night out, The Main House is a must-visit. Saint Charles is lucky to have it
