Shout out to the best little potato salad maker east of the Rockies! Evie was an absolute delight and offered wonderful suggestions - ribs were fantastic and the brisket was moist and delicious. She personally makes the potato salad and it was outstanding. If you're in the mood for a load of Missouri hospitality, good food and decent prices, I highly recommend this spot. 10/10

We can in about 6:30pm figured we’d have plenty of time, ordered fairly quickly for a table of 7. We ordered the meal that was for 4 people and fed all of us. By 8ish we were the only ones left in the place. After the food was delivered, no one came back. Too busy cleaning up for the night. I would not recommend the chicken what so ever, was so salty you couldn’t even eat the darn thing. I told our waiter and all she said was yeah they were trying something new! Who says that when you’re spending a hundred some bucks and have to waste food because you can’t eat it. The brisket was on the dry side. My relatives stop I St Joseph every 6 months but it’s alway late and have wanted to try for years and was a sad disappointment plus the cost.

Tiny portions. If you have one of those tick-borne allergies to red meat, try the 2-meat lunch plate. Almost zero risk of exposure. Manager offered to weigh the 1 bite of brisket to prove to me it was 3 oz.

Have been coming here since they first opened. Just a consistently good place to eat. Use to always order the pork plate but now I am a fan of their ribs, which are always tender. Service is quick. One of the few, truly good places to eat in town, in my opinion.

The food was okay, not like it used to be. Our server didnt smile, didnt joke, and I felt was kinda cranky when I asked a question about the food. I was disappointed, but wont let this one day keep me away.
The garlic toast was the best though!

The food was not great. The meat was too fatty. The coleslaw was too soupy. However, the sauces were good. The service was excellent. Our waitress was very attentive and they seemed to take gluten restrictions very seriously. They had a seperate menu and said they would change their gloves. They were upfront about using a shared fryer so clearly aware of cross contamination. Still, we probably won't go back because of the disappointing food.
