The blandest "Mexican food" I've ever partially eaten in my ENTIRE life!!! The salsa is more bland than the starting base for your Nonnas spaghetti sauce, the cheese dip is comparable to powdered mac & cheese sauce (mac & cheese sauce actually has better consistency) and both are far overpriced. The server was semi-competent, but her personality was as bland as the food. I'd suggest skipping this self-proclaimed "hidden gem," but I'm not your momma.. If you decide that you want to be disappointed, do take your own seasoning but also expect to be nickel and dimed for sub-par whatever it is this place serves, because it's not Mexican food..
The BEST....PERIOD
Food is very good and worth trying. Prices are a little high on most things. All 3 types of enchiladas are the same price and over priced for what they are. Plain cheese enchiladas should be the cheapest. Chips and dips are delicious but way over priced. Very good food but you can spend alot on feeding the family there.
I love this food❣️❣️
My wife and I were hungry been out all day at Doctors appointments and decided to get something to eat at Barbosa;s. I had 3 enchilada's, tostada and red pork chile and a Mt dew. my wife had the Barbosa's combo plate and a sweet tea. The chips that they brought us were cold and when she asked for sour cream instead of salsa our waitress didn't want to bring out the sour cream but she did anyway. Every time my wife asked her a question it was like why are you talking to me. The waitress's name was Kim T when I asked her a question she was like oh ya I will do anything for you attitude. This is very unacceptable. No matter who asks the question it should be sure no problem not based on sexually orientation. I am deaf in 1 ear and going blind in both eyes and my wife was only being helpful to me. What was really bad is we had to ask for silverware before we could eat. I will say Kim T did help sack up our to go boxes. Barbosa's just lost 2 customers we will never come back. Alejandro's Mexican Restaurant is better and is authentic Mexican food Hoof and Horn Mexican dishes are also authentic as well the cook is Mexican.
The chips and beefy cheese dip never disappoint. The chips are unique and salted just right. They're big and chunky which is great for dunking in dip
Best Mexican food I have ever had. Drive from out of state to eat here anytime possible.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. The staff are excellent and I love the food. I definitely recommend eating here! No matter what you order, you'll love it!!

I don't like leaving negative reviews. So at least I'm giving 3 stars because it's a family business. I had the pick 3 chicken, beef tacos and fadeyo.
Over cooked greesy flower taco shells with mush inside, lettuce smelled like beer.
Fadeyo was a noodle soup it reminded me of spaghetti O's by chef boy yar dee.
Maybe it was a new cook, or possibly the cook was having a bad day.
Will try one more time and update this..... they tell me the pork burrito with red sauce is good.

I have driven past Barbosa’s a lot for work and always been interested to check them out. Was totally underwhelmed, very bland, would not recommend. It’s for old people who have never had any good Mexican food… probably one of my most disappointing stops ever. It always looks busy is why I had such high hopes. Would much rather have gone to Chipotle.

I am completely confused by the other reviews versus my experience. This is ABSOLUTELY NOT authentic Mexican food in any way shape or form. It was bordering on inedible to be honest. Only one type of street tacos-pork that was bland. The tacos had 4 pieces of cilantro between the 3 tacos. My niece had the Mini Appetizer Platter, the cheese dip was basically canned cheese before she could even try it she had to scrape the film off of it. All around I'd say the quality here is on par with Taco Bell in a sit down restaurant.
Dietary restrictions: Very limited gluten free options and no substitute to corn tortillas on anything.
