Very good food, great service. I recommend the all meat omelet very good. I got the pancakes instead of toast and it was fabulous.

Betty's Cafe is a shining example of how a smaller family owned restaurant can not only survive, but also thrive. That's not a status that is easily earned in today's seemingly unstable economy, and with the potential ripple effects of post Covid, that have taken the breath and life out of countless small businesses, not to mention a fair amount of larger well known entities. One visit to this little down home Eatery will speak for itself. The service is usually very prompt, and flavored with a friendly smile. All of their culinary offerings are prepared and served with a genuine effort and desire to give the customer an honest home style meal that is delicious, and looks like it came straight from your mom's or grandma's kitchen. The prices are a decent enough value, that won't break the bank. They have figured out the secret, which isn't really a secret, and that is to treat folks like family and friends, and to give them a plate of honest home style goodness, that echos the feeling and flavor of home. This cozy and quaint little Cafe has been serving up tasty comfort for now on 36 years, and they show no signs of slowing down. A big ?YUMS UP? for Betty's Cafe, destined to be a Saint Joseph landmark and legend.

My mom and I visited this cafe today and it was very just like our cafe in my hometown! Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, great food, and amazing prices! It is cash only but it's still a great place to get some breakfast!

Been a long time since I was there. Kind of wish they would stay open 24/7 but it is what it is. I had all meat burrito and the Bubba hash browns. And they were pretty feeling but I just can't get enough I'll definitely back!!!!

A throwback to the days of the corner diner, Betty's is very popular. Bring your cash and arrive early, for seating is limited and they only take cash. Also arrive early because the daily pies don't last long. The food was good. The prices reasonable. The service a bit unprofessional, but friendly all things considered.

Gross. People coughing all over, waitress flirting with my BF. Greasy food. Gross.

If you're hungry, traveling through St. Joseph, Missouri, and want simple comfort food at a good price, then stop at Betty's Cafe. It's a somewhat rough, aging diner. They accept cash only and are only open for breakfast and lunch (closing at 2 pm) The menu is extensive (including a lot of side dishes) and the portions are plentiful. Contrary to what their T-shirts say, they accommodate special requests. They have freshly made pies and desserts if you can get any before they're sold out.

Service was excellent. Biscuits and gravy was great. Only thing I didn't like was that they used canned mushrooms on my omelet.
