Very sweet and kind servers! But food wasn’t very edible. Guacamole was amazing, but the meals were not enjoyable with how chewy and unsalted the meat was. Took forever to chew each bite!

The food is always amazing. They always make me feel like family. Donna is an excellent waiter, always kept my drink full. Service was prompt and efficient. The ambience of the restaurant off of South Belt in St Joseph MO and the friendly atmosphere makes it my go to happy place. Love it!!

The food was good!! Service was kinda slow as there was a large party there in the same section. Definitely can't wait to come back again.
Stopped into one of our local El Maguey locations, with my brother, recently. It was not long after the doors opened, so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Our waitress, Donna, was on top of things with the quickness and a big welcoming smile! She took our order and had our drinks, chips n salsa and food onto our table in record time! As we ate, she kept our drinks refilled and took care of anything we needed. Total pro. My one complaint, and it's kinda miniscule, is once we finished our main meal, it kinda felt like we were being nudged toward the door. Which if the place was packed I could understand, but as i mentioned earlier, the lunch rush hadn't come in yet. Outside of that, we had a great time! Service was great and Food was tasty! Thanks, El Maguey!!
The 2 stars are simply because the server was super nice and quick. I order to go alla cart tacos. Terrible! I don't even know how to explain them but the worst tacos I've ever had, order 4 ate 1. Took a bite out of the others because they were different. Threw it all away.
