IL Lazzarone Neapolitan Pizzeria

Have wanted to visit for 2 years now. My husband is from Boston & we know good pizza. Everything was top notch from service, ambiance and our Italiano was divine, the Fogli salad phenomenal & great beer! Excellent price for the value!We will be back !

We ate at Il Lazzerone St. Joe on Saturday, 3/22/2025, and it was amazing. Our server was great, but did not hover. The Fogle salad was nothing short of delicious with the red onion, goat cheese and Balsamic vinaigrette dressing. And then, we moved on to the Italiano pizza -- perfection. Definitely a meal that was great value for money. How about adding an Il Lazzerone to the St. Louis area?

IL Lazzarone has wood fire pizza. Every pizza we have had has been delicious. The atmosphere is great and the service is always wonderful.

This was the best pizza and experience I have had at a restaurant! Even beats out Michelin star restaurants. The staff were so kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and personable!! Our waitress took the time to listen to what we were debating over and made suggestions on how to accommodate everything we wanted. The chef not only made the best hand tossed pizza with style but was kind enough to explain the wood stove and his process and speed in which he could create such masterpieces! And his dessert! Oh his dessert was mouthwatering! Do not hesitate to make a special trip just for the pizza!! It is to die for!

We come here EVERY time we pass by St Joe or any time we are headed to KC. The best pizza I’ve had. Love the all aspects of this place!! Keep up the awesome work Il Lazzarone!!

This place is perfect amazing service and even let me make my own pizza they also had a dessert pizza which made me stuffed but have the best lunch of my life and it took less than a minute to make two pizzas I’m amazed everyone needs to come here 5 stars

My date and I’s pizza were somehow soggy and burnt at the same time. Great service. We didn’t want to ask for new pizza, but we didn’t like it at all.

A great little haunt along the journey. Built in a historical building, former mechanic shop. Maintains some of the original equipment for decor.

The pizza is handmade in Neapolitan style, which is a simpler and wood fired method. We had the carne. Unfortunately this particular pizza came out with some burnt areas including blackened pepperoni, which kept me from issuing 5 stars on this visit.

Went to the StJoe Missouri location. Plan to try the other location in KC next
