We were traveling through the area decided to stop for lunch at Lisa's because of all of the 5 star reviews!! We were not disappointed I got boasted chicken it was the best fried chicken I have had in several years. The breading was nice and crispy the meat was cooked perfectly very juicy and tender chicken was seasoned perfect!! Had real mashed potatoes cream gravy was exelent green beans were good. The service was very friendly and quick!! The restaurant location is a little hard to get to in the industrial district the building is not fancy it is kinda kinda dated! We will definitely stop next time we drive through Saint Josephs

Came here with my friend Ashton who frequents here. It is a nice homey place where the staff are friendly and the food is good. The story of this place is amazing! I'll be coming here again.

We’ve been traveling over a week and had a craving for good fried chicken, well we found it at Lisa’s Roadside Diner!!! It’s broasted and very delicious, including the mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, white gravy, bread and of course we had to have the home made coconut cream pie!!!
A hidden gem for sure. We’ll stop again if we’re up this way! Local people and staff were so friendly!!!

Stopped in for lunch and ordered the tenderloin sandwich with pepper jack cheese. The tenderloin was cooked light and golden brown and was hearty in size. All of the toppings were placed on the side (which I like). The fries were cooked nice and golden brown. An overall good meal with good service.

I LOVE THIS DINER!
This restaurant reminds me of the small diners and cafés that my dad took me to when I was young. Flavorful, quality food at an affordable price. I had the tenderloin and fries and it was GREAT!. I'll be back for more.
Everyone keeps telling me to try the fried chicken. Guess I'll be there on Friday!

Ok, no atmosphere. It's clean and inviting, a little noisy during the lunch hour, someone else said "probably not a date place." But for a couple married for a few years it was great?

Frankly, Kathy and I went for the food, not the ambiance. And food we got! Going back for the catfish soon I think. Kathy got Broasted chicken and it was great. I got a hot pork tenderloin sandwich with some of the best white gravy I've had outside of Kathy's kitchen.

We took home enough for another meal each, but still had to top off lunch with German chocolate cake and coconut cream pie. Yummy! You'll probably not be able to stretch it to the extra to-go box but we do that often. Our tummies don't hold as much as they once did.

Finding it was easy in the industrial part of St. Jo, near the stockyards. We used Google maps and it worked fine. Definitely good enough for return trips!

Parking: Giant parking lot even during a busy lunch

Wheelchair accessibility: Parking lot may be a bit bumpy but handicapped parking was right by the door, and no stairs.
