I came here today (7/27) and I was genuinely so disappointed. We had ordered and I got lemonade, and it tasted like mop water and chemicals. Genuinely tasted unsafe to drink. They told me no refunds on anything, but I think there should be an exception when my drink could potentially be poisoning me. They offered me water instead. We got our food after 30 minutes and it was room temperature. They were not busy, it was 2:30 on a Sunday, and it still took a long time. My fathers order was incorrect, and they told him they would remake it (which I do appreciate!) 45 minutes had gone by, and he decided to go up and ask if his food was almost ready, and they had forgotten all about it. Maybe 3 other people had ordered. They gave us a bread pudding as an apology, but there was no sauce in the bread pudding? It was so incredibly dry we just had to throw it away. We spent 75 minutes waiting for cold, small portions that we paid over $70 for, for 3 people. After we had eaten, we saw someone else had ordered the lemonade and asked if they thought it tasted weird. They had agreed and told the restaurant too and they got water as a substitute as well! People had ordered lemonade later, I don’t understand why they would keep selling a faulty product after many people had told them they lemonade was bad. Don’t understand it :(

We ordered the Ménage a Trois. Unfortunately, our food took forever to prepare, so the shrimp and fried green tomatoes were cold when we received them. There was also only one, albeit hard working, person working all the food orders. The flavor is there but they just seemed not to have their stuff together today and it was disappointing :(

7 dollars for a little cup of tea with no refills? Food is over priced and not worth the wait. No way dinner for 2 at this little chicken place should cost 70 bucks!!

This was my first time coming here. It was recommended to me. The smoked Gouda grits were good. However, I was surprised that the meal I purchased (catfish and grits) only came with one thin filet. For the price and portion (compared to other restaurants I’ve eaten at with a similar entree), I wouldn’t get it again. If it came with two pieces of fish, I would’ve given it four stars.

$7 for a tea is outrageous, the fish looked old and was chewy..

Placed my order and waited for my named to be called...never happen. After a half hour, they said my order was maybe taken. Then I was ask about what I got and realized my order was also wrong. Well, it was redone and I was ok with that, but my husband wasn't. When I got home to eat dinner I see that the catfish po boy was actually a swai po boy. 😤 I do not like the taste of swai. All the pictures online, gave CATFISH. The grits didn't have much flavor and I'm just gonna stop there. I was hoping this was a place I would revisit, but I'll pass.

Tried 4 Hens for the first time last night and we were not disappointed. Best creole in St. Louis, hands down. If you like fried green tomatoes and shrimp, order the "Down in the Bayou" *chef's kiss

Wanted crawfish and grits and they had no grits. Got the crawfish po boy and the crawfish itself was not bad, the bread was dry and cold. Very let down
