“I have previously dined at Little Fox for dinner and drinks and I have always enjoyed it. Last weekend, I tried their brunch and it was just as good as their dinner menu. We tried multiple dishes, and they were all delightful. The Italian Benedict and Waffle & Lox were particularly amazing! The cocktails were amazing, as usual. The service was excellent, too. I highly recommend Little Fox.”

“This restaurant is very clean, and the service is wonderful. I recommend the Chicken Tikka Kabob. The meat is so tender that it melts in your mouth, and the flavor is amazing. It comes with a side of salad and rice. The rice is so fragrant and delicious. The salad is fresh. The samosas are good too. You get two per order, and the green chutney on the side is yummy. They do make their baklava in house.”

“During Christmas, Small Change transforms into the Miracle Popup! Santa definitely stops here. Check out these pictures/videos. I enjoyed the Snow Ball cocktail which was excellent. But business as usual, it’s a beloved local bar in Saint Louis, occupying the historic spot that was once Benny's Pit Stop Lounge for over 35 years. As the more casual counterpart to Planter's House (its sister spot), it boasts a creatively evolving cocktail menu using local craft spirits. Established in 2018 at Lynch & Indiana, Small Change welcomes diverse tastes with craft beers, non-alcoholic choices, daily happy hours, and engaging weekly/monthly events. A nod to tradition with a fresh, spirited twist.”

“What a stellar brunch! Squires is nestled in an adorable neighborhood, and totes even more ambiance inside. We walked in on the market side and were immediately greeted by all of the goodies they sell there, live piano being played, and the incredible hospitality of the woman working the counter that Saturday. We were seated for our reservation promptly, and unfortunately I think they may have been a bit overbooked for the staff they had on hand because my only complaint the whole time is that the service was extremely slow. It was packed so I'm sure it's not that big of a reflection on our server, who was stressed and at times seemed disinterested and had very little to say about the menu and options at the restaurant. I think he was simply spread way too thin.Once we ordered and got our Bloody Mary's, we checked out the bar. It wasn't as impressive in person as it looked online, things were a little sparse (I think maybe again due to the high volume they were serving) but everything tasted delicious.I had the smoked salmon board and it was stellar!I would certainly come back any time I'm in the area, but I would love to strongly recommend to management that they staff up a little more for Saturday brunch.”

Time For Dinner 8506 Manchester Rd, St. Louis American • $$
8506 Manchester Rd, St. Louis

“Glad to see another place that helps people of all ages learn to cook. It's more than just a restaurant. It's a place to where people can learn how to cook, and if for some reason a restaurant or other place of employments wants their applications to think that the applicant is no older than 25 or 30, this way, through education, it's a way to make the applicant have more of a recent "schooling" on cooking. I was hoping that you could returning to dining in, but if the move to delivery or taking out has become permanent, we can see how people think it is so funny to play games with a dangerous virus as they believe it would only go away with a wave of a magic wand. I hope that I can someday stop in for a cup of coffee.”

Everything went exactly as planned. Communication was prompt and regular. Len set everything up for us and helped us dress the salad and make sure we had everything we needed. The food was an absolute hit with the parents and the players. We demolished the salad and bread and the baked mostaciolli and put a huge dent in the pasta alla vodka sauce. Everyone got second helpings and were thrilled with their meal in the hotel basement of the Hampton Inn downtown. This meal put all others to shame and my only regret is that Len and Zia’s aren’t available in the other cities we’re headed to. “I typically get the halibut or the medallions. Two of my favorite dishes at twisted tree. Last night, the dish came out with a different potato (whole crispy potatoes), which are good but the dish for the last several years is served on top of whipped mashed potatoes. The whole dish tasted different, somewhat bland. I added the waitress if I was crazy or maybe I switched out the potatoes and she said the menu just changed a few days ago. She did bring a side of whipped mashed potatoes, which was very nice, still doesn't have the same blend when it's typically layered: whipped potatoes, spinach, medallions, sauce - they all complement each other. The gal with me had never had the medallions and ordered it - she wasn't as impressed with the potato's, some of them were so crispy you couldn't cut it. First time I've been disappointed with a dish. Maybe in the future if I order this dish I substitute the potatoes. I eat at this establishment several times a month. Will always highly recommend. Only this one time did a dish not wow me!! MEDALLIONS Two 4 oz. beef tenderloin medallions over smashed Yukon Gold potatoes, sautéed spinach & mushroom brandy sauce.”

“We moved here from Memphis 2 yrs ago and this is the only place we have found in St.louis that I would definitely recommend and go back to over and over again! The food is amazing. We normally get the catfish and spaghetti plate with candid yams and when I tell you it slaps everytime! The food is always cooked hot and fresh, it's seasoned perfectly, and the service is amazing. They always greet you with a smile and seem happy to have you in. We normally order to go but the inside of the place is a whole vibe with music on weekends, if you are looking for somewhere to just chill and hangout that has good food and drinks as well. If you get by or are thinking about trying it definitely stop in!! It will be worth your while for sure!!”

The bartender was so nice and chit chatted with us while he made drinks. All the drinks looked fantastic and I will definitely be back for cocktails. I just had a glass of wine and my husband a local beer so nothing too crazy. But they did have natural wines which are usually hard to find any my favorite, so I was happy! “Today I drove down South Kingshighway to try a restaurant recommended by one of the talented ladies at Sonder Lush Nail Salon. She told me her favorite menu item was Honduran Fried Chicken. I just had to go and find out for myself what made Honduran Fried Chicken so special.I arrived at exactly 12:00 pm and the lady behind the counter smiled at me, held up one finger…the one that means "just minute" and continued taking an order by phone. The smell of the food had my stomach putting on makeup and eyelashes…we were about to throw down! I chatted with a gentleman that was picking up food for his entire crew (it had to be about 20-30 to go containers). I asked him what his favorite item was and he said he and his coworkers love the Carne Asada. Enough said!A lovely young lady walked to the counter, gave me a menu, let me know I could sit wherever I liked, and patiently took my order. (Patiently because I asked a lot of questions ?.)I ordered…Pupusas de Queso: soft corn tortilla filled with cheese. It came with a side of what "I" am describing as slaw with salsa (?)...it was good!Polo Cena: Fried Chicken, Beans, Eggs, Honduran Sour Cream, Cheese, and Green Fried Banana Chips. I am not going to try to describe the amazing flavor of the fried chicken, I was simply blown away. I am not sure if I can eat fried chicken any other way now. #onthe12sCarne Asada: I ordered it to go, but tasted it in the car. It reheated well in the oven and had my kitchen smelling amazing. It was delicious!Extra notes: EVERY customer that walked into this restaurant smiled and said hello to me. The customer service was OUTSTANDING!”

“My first couple of visits were great! Food was good, service was good, etc. However, as of recently, going here feels like a disappointment. I took my sister to treat her to some boba, we got the order and not even 5 sips into the cup, AS we walked the small distance between the store and my parked car, it ran out and all that remained was ice. It is even more disappointing considering it was a children’s cup. The same happened with mine, and mine was a much larger cup. Quite literally, 75-80% of the cups were ice cubes. It feels like a waste of money when things like this occur and demotivates us from going here again, as it has happened multiple times now even with light ice requests.”

“So happy we finally tried Yemanja! Waitress informed us we picked the perfect weekend to come because it's the last weekend Yemanja will be open in its current form. According to her, the owners are closing the restaurant for approximately one month and reopening as a Brazilian bar and grill with a different menu. I'm sure some regulars won't be happy about the change but I'm excited to try the new version of the restaurant next month. When we arrived we were asked if we had a reservation (we did not) this caught us by surprise because the website doesn't mention reservations. It wasn't an issue and we were seated immediately. The restaurant decor is festive and a bit eclectic. We ordered the National Drink of Brazil and it was very strong but great. I loved it. The heart of palm empanadas for the appetizer were recommended by our waitress and I'm glad we ordered them. I don't think I've ever had an empanada, they were very good. The options for vegetarians are limited but the only entree I could eat was really good and filling; I couldn't finish it. Yucca fries, black beans with rice and greens. The greens were my favorite. Entrees came either soup or salad. We both chose the salad and it was a nice salad. The house bread was okay, it came the seasoned butter. My boyfriend ordered one of the seafood entrees with shrimp. He loved it. Cleaned his plate. We will return for the new version of Yemanja. Hopefully there will be more vegetarian options.”

“This review was originally a lot lower when I first wrote it... 2 starts at first. Im glad I waited to write it because what started off rocky ended so well.We came in and were seated right away. We ordered, but it was taking a long time to get our food. Turns out, they mispalced our ticket order... twice. The servers were very kind (except for 1 of them), but it was chaotic and not well organized. 4 other parties who came in after us got their food before we did. It was not a complicated order (deluxe biscuits and gravy and Traditional breakfast), so we had decided to leave. The owner then came out, hand delivered our food, and apologized for the inconvenience. So, we decided to stay.Let me tell you... the food was worth the wait. SOO DELICIOUS. Easily the best biscuits and gravy and I've ever had. Additionally, the fried potatos were exceptional; perfectly crisp and well seasoned. We didn't walk away stuffed and bloated; it was just the right amount. The only other downside was that they didn't do anything to comp our order in spite of the less than stellar service at the beginning. A little disappointing. We almost walked out, but Im so glad we didn't. We will be back next time we're in town! Thanks, Nadia!”

The ambiance was great - very modern and inviting; the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I asked what their suggestion would be and they said you can't go wrong with the classic Nudo or the Bahn Mi so we ordered both, but sadly it was very underwhelming. The flavor wasn't rich or flavorful like we expected, and the noodles tasted like instant ramen, kinda rubbery and very bland. “This place was great. I am sad i didn't grab pictures. We seldom find someplace that everyone liked their food. And it was a bit pricy, but i dont think it wasn't a good value quality for the dollar. For example, the side of fruit is $4. It had blackberries, blue berries, straw berries, grapes, pineapple, and cantaloupe, and was a significant size. I doubt you could get that much fruit from a grocery store for $4. They were not shy with their bacon on the breakfast sandwich. The siracha was home-madede and fantastic. The coffee is debuque, a local premium brand, very good and again a bargain compared to say starbucks. The breakfast butters were unique, and we were split between our group on which was best (obviously the bacon maple was best). The biscuits were exactly what you wanted when you ordered a biscuit from some place, fresh, homemade, and filling. They dont have a kids meal, but a $4 side of pancakes was too much for my growing 5 year old to finish. While it is too expensive for a regular breakfast spot, it is one of the top brunches in st.louis, no doubt.Kid-friendliness: Not specifically kid friendly, but kids will enjoy their food.”

It is a residential area however, with a dense college population, so parking would be a premium during off hours.Wheelchair accessibility: The entry does have an aluminum ramp, but it's rather short and steep.
