“I’m 78, travelled the world and these are the very best noodles and noodle dishes I have ever had. I doubt I will ever eat ramin or udon ever again. This is not a fancy sit down restaurant, it’s a Japanese noodle restaurant or social bar. The young lady receptionist/waitress was very welcoming and helpful. The cooks are hard working and friendly. The selection is somewhat limited but just the kind of meals you will want to try again and again. 一番 Ichiban. (# 1)”

“When I was traveling through St Louis, a friend introduced me to this place. The frozen custard is amazing and dare I say heavenly. So soft and creamy. It was a true treat. I love discovering and finding out about those wonderful neighborhood gems. I also liked that they had bench seats along one side of the parking lot underneath the trees for people to sit and contemplate the wonderfulness of life and Ted Dewes custard helps to get you into that space.”

“I have been wanting to get here for several years, and we finally made it, tonight, to Anthonino's Taverna, a short distance from Rob's place. (Fun fact, this place has been spotlighted twice on Guy Fieri's Food Channel Show. I can now see why. 🥰) Well, I wish I had made it here sooner. But, that's behind us, and tonight was a delicious, and delightful night. Our waitress, Bailee, had the excellent insight to know it takes awhile to decide on a drink, and dinner choices. It doesn't matter if you read the menu online or not. Changes are always added. She gave us the grace to settle in for a few minutes. She gave us enough time to settle in so we could make our choices. Rob had a Kona Wave draft, and I had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Bailee brought us bread made, and baked on The Hill with great quality olive oil, and herbs for dipping. Rob ordered the lasagna, and I opted for the Tutti de Mare with seafood, garlic, butter, and olive oil. My dinner was delicious, and made with freshly made pasta, and a perfect mix of perfectly cooked wild caught seafood of mussels,shrimp, clams, and squid. Rob's lasagna also featured freshly made pasta sheets, Anthonino's red sauce, sausage, ricotta, and mozzarella cheese. I tasted it, and it's your pick here if you love lasagna. Homemade taste that brought me back to my grandmother's and my mother's tables. 🥰❤️ I also felt welcomed, and comfortable as soon as I walked through the door. “Had a wonderful lunch here. Never had Persian food. I ordered the Aash stew, lamb biryani, and chai.The stew was wonderful and refreshing. The lamb shank w biryani was fall of the bone. Such magical flavors in the lamb. The chai was such a great addition. Its fresh made not instant. Service was exceptional by the owner and he was so thankful to my compliments. For those whom do not know about Persia, it is a culture in Iran. Do yourself a favor and give the small business a try.”

“Stew's has become our regular date night spot once a week. We look forward to the salmon, the mushrooms, the fried rice and for now the tuna - hoping for a return of the scallop ceviche! We love the inside even when it can be a little bit loud and we love the outside (our preference) in good weather. Service is always top level and attentive and I love to get my Blanton's old-fashioned made here. Occasionally the wait can be long but for us it's always been worth it even when it's been 30° outside! You can consider us die hard fans. High quality food with high-quality service in a fun neighborhood location. Check out the decor in the bathroom.”

When you walk in, it’s overwhelmingly filled with delicious wide range of drinks, desserts, and homemade Hummus … and the best part was the section they had of hand stitched bags, hats, printed bags, brackets, stickers, ect. All in support for Palestine. The love for Palestine was bold and incredible. I got a few bags that I will cherish dearly and can’t wait to display permanently in my prayer room. “The food and the entire experience were amazing! The evening was to celebrate my milestone birthday and it did not disappoint! The bourbon list was extensive with so many great choices to choose from! And I sampled several! For dinner I had the fillet, crab and crawfish chowder, and a loaded baked potato…delicious! “First let me start, your employees are top notch, starting with Front desk. Our Bartender Sara, she was fairly new but offered a Pinot Noir recommendation, it was an ok wine but cost $70 bucks which I could buy locally for between $18-$22. The wine glasses were not crystal clear, water spots everywhere. I observed another bartender cleaning them or drying with a dryer or cleaner machine. It doesn’t win in my book.
Our server Sara was awesome, she recommended the sweet potato casserole, it was beyond our expectations. Fabulous, already planning to recreate and serve. My Bride of 45 years had the Filet and Shrimp, spot on. I ordered the 16 oz ribeye, the flavor was great but it was a New York Strip without doubt. I judge Steaks in Championship competitions, I did not bring it up just because your Staff was remarkable. It was good, just not a strip fan. Your floor Mgr. Nathan is an asset. We had conversations and he recognized our 45 anniversary. Nice evening! My point is your employees are your prize, for $275.00 the little things matter!”

“Carmine’s is my favorite steakhouse in St. Louis. I have been a loyal customer at all of the Lombardo family restaurants my entire life and Carmine’s is simply the best. The atmosphere is welcoming and the food is always 5 stars, never disappoints. I recommend eating here before/after a downtown event or game because the location is prime and has easy access to the highway. I always use their valet parking to avoid traffic at other downtown parking places.”

From the old world style, Italian atmosphere to the delicious food, the great wait staff and Dominic himself going around to all the tables carrying on conversation making sure everyone is having a nice time. And if you are lucky, you might get a chance to listen to his beautiful voice from time to time. We also enjoy the valet parking. It is a top-notch restaurant with the kind of feeling that you just don’t get in this world anymore. We go because it feels like for a few hours we’ve got to escape into a small part of Italy. 🇮🇹 It has what a lot of restaurants just don’t have anymore no matter how fancy the decor. Dominics is class and history with great food all in one place. We are fortunate to have such a place in St. Louis.”

“Came here as it was right around the corner from another event that we attended. I had heard of this place and wanted to try it out. We went on a Thursday and we were the only ones there. This is a really nicely decorated establishment. We ordered 2 drinks and these lemon-pepper type wings that were really more of a honey glaze type wing sauce. Anyways, wings are probably not something you would want to order here anyways. Our drinks were good though. So all in all 2 drinks, 1 order of wings $76 including the tip, so a bit expensive.”

It was messy made the bun soggy and just all around gross. I was going to bring all my kidd back to eat and will NEVER EAR HERE AGAIN. A REFUND IS WANTED. 27 DOLLARS FOR 2 BURGERS 2 DRINKS AND 1 FRY AND THE PLAIN CHEESEBURGWR HAD ONIONS ON IT WASNT SUPPOSE TO. When we walked in Josh was on it, made us feel we were “regulars”, like he new us personally and Stacey, the hostess that seated us, was equally as welcoming and we were seated promptly. I don’t believe we got our kind servers name, but the beautiful young lady was on it as well. The chefs/kitchen were on par as well, hubby had one of the eggs Benedict with a side of biscuit and gravy, I had the Ranchers beef salad, one of the best beef and blue cheese salads I’ve EVER had, and believe me, I’ve had a “few” 😋🤫😊 Hubs also loved the huge coffee mugs his coffee and my Kahluah/hot chocolate(yum on this damp chilly day)were served in…this where my only complaint would be, my mug was chipped along the rim 😅 All that said, it was just a fantastic way to start our Sunday. My days start and end with a delightful cup of tea thanks to Traveling Tea. The shop is small and efficient. The owner and her staff are wonderful.”

“OMG the burgers were amazing... My hubby was craving a blue cheese burger and we decided to try them out. At first we were gonna leave because we didn't see the kinda burgers on the menu we wanted, but the waiter stopped us and said he can make it any way you want it.. So we stayed, He was right, them burgers came out juice, fresh and the grilled taste was amazing. Our waffles fries were a little overcooked, but the wonderful chez soften them up. I gave the atmosphere a 2 star not because the inside wasn't comfy, it was nice clean and friendly, but OMG there was heavy metal music over the loud speaker.. I'm talking about bang your head music. Now I'm an R&B girl, but don't mind a little different genre every once in a while, but that music was debilitating. When you sit down to eat, you want some feel good tunes, and that was not it... I did love EAT Crow try their burgers.. they wont disappoint..”

Not only did she make amazing drinks, she made sure our food came out right and hot. She also entertained us the whole time we were there, by engaging in conversations. “When I was traveling through St Louis, a friend introduced me to this place. The frozen custard is amazing and dare I say heavenly. So soft and creamy. It was a true treat. I love discovering and finding out about those wonderful neighborhood gems. I also liked that they had bench seats along one side of the parking lot underneath the trees for people to sit and contemplate the wonderfulness of life and Ted Dewes custard helps to get you into that space.”

“Ok, here’s the thing… I love food. And when I say I love food, you might think I’m a huge person or a food critic or a chef or just a dramatic fan. Well, I am actually an artist, and I… I can tell you in no uncertain terms, that the food we received was *high art.* I don’t mean the kind of pretentious high art food that is served in tiny portions and so beautiful that you almost don’t want to eat it. I mean that it was masterfully created—flavorful, textured to perfection, filling, and lamentable *only* in that I wish I’d had room for more. We started with the stuffed mushroom appetizer—which I’ll admit is not usually my favorite, but my wife generally loves—served upon a sprinkle of arugula and a slashed drizzle of balsamic glaze. Imma tell ya… I like stuffed mushrooms now. My wife ordered an entrée of eggplant Parmesan—one that she doesn’t care to make often for herself only because (and I’m quoting), “It’s a pain in the a$$ to cook.” I ordered linguine Pomodoro with added shrimp and had the steamed mussels appetizer served with my entrée, so that I could add them in (as I *do* love a tutto mare). Since my wife’s entrée was one of her favorites, and I don’t generally care for it, I left her to it, concentrating on my own. I shucked all the mussels and strained their accompanying shallots and bacon into my linguine leaving the garlic and cilantro pesto behind for bread dipping. OH [*clap*clap*clap*]—I forgot to mention the bread. They served a fantastic mini loaf of the softest bread topped with caramelized onions alongside fresh grated Parmesan in olive oil. Upon our finishing it off, I asked for a second helping. Back to the entrée… My first actual bite was of the mussels, and that bite was fantastic. Then I had one of the shrimp… and… here’s the thing… I am a poet, and I also write children’s books, so when I tell you that I simply do not have a superlative sufficient to describe the shrimp, you know I’m being serious. It was warm, seasoned, and snappy as shrimp should be, but it gave me pause—as Anton Ego in Ratatouille. * First, doubt—that I had experienced something so specifically wonderful before * Then, a quick scan from childhood to now for confirmation * And lastly, the comfort that can only come from those happiest memories of childhood—Christmas mornings on receiving more than you could ever have hoped for, Halloween nights’ preparations for what giggles and terrors were to come, and burrito-you ensconced in soft blankets straight from the dryer Then of course, the rest of the dish, twirled and slurped—not too quickly… every bite a confirmation and yet still a revelation. Here again, my only lament that I must see a portion of it boxed to leave room for dessert. And… dessert. Oh, boy… Seeing all of the items, my wife and I—in celebration of our 26th anniversary—decided on the sampler. Listen up, folks: flourless chocolate torta, crème custard napoleon, and gooey butter cake. JFC are you serious? Every bite more sumptuous—more scrumptious than the last. Every bit a reassurance that I will return. Our server, Chelsea, was commendable not only for her menu knowledge and sense of humor, but it’s not for nothing that she was absolutely on top of it with regard to my tea refills (which were many, as our dinner took place after a dehydratingly-busy workday for me). We will definitely be returning to Eleven Eleven, whereupon I intend to try a few different items, my palate then flooded with new sensations—new wonders… my only lament that I will not ever have that “first time experience” again.”
