“If you want to try a local spot for some chicken and support a family that is a big help to the community…..HIT UP VAILS!!! I loved the fried chicken so much I got food from Vails a second night in a row to try more of their food….WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!!! Catfish AMAZING, friend chicken AMAZING, Fried okra…PHENOMENAL!“

“I don't know where to begin! First off, I would like to say, "Thank You Ol'Henrys, for actually serving hot, real, tasty SOUL FOOD!" My husband and I have tried a few soul food places and were highly disappointed. But, y'all Ol'Henrys are the real deal! Food that's HOT not pan prep from home then kept in a non-working warmer. We thank you sincerely for being ole'skol cooking with flavor and delicious! I won't bash these other so-called soul food places but they need to inform customers that the food is pan served and like warm. Anyway, we thank you for serving down home cooking that tastes good! We LUV y'all! Mr. & Mrs. D. Harvey 🙌🏾 (whew~ I had to get all of that out😂)“

“outstanding! wife and i had special of Shrimp Etouffee and Fried Catfish. not overly spicy, full of flavor, worth the drive and Ted Drews just a few blocks west on Chippewa. ENJOY“
