“This is a place that my inner grandpa not only loves, but craves. The food is of a kind that used to be ubiquitous and is now nearly extinct: excellent, unpretentious and plentiful homestyle American food served on plastic plates with enough for two meals at a price point that rivals terrible fast food options for a full meal. Though they are famous for their fried chicken, I check their specials regularly for the meatloaf and the Polish sausage, and my go-to is their Chicken Fried Steak, the best in the city by a long shot in my opinion. I always get exactly what I expect and love every fork full, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. This is legitimately one of my favorite places to eat in Saint Louis.“

“We ordered King Edwards Chicken and Fish for a Family Party. Everyone loved the food! The chicken was delicious and so were the sides. It was a very large order and King Edwards really came through. Highly recommend!“

“I’ve been eating at this Chick-fil-A since they opened and I have never had a single issue. Today, however I may have ordered something a little complicated when I got home the food that I received wasn’t at all what I ordered I went in and spoke with the manager.I believe her name was Patricia . She was so kind and explained to me the error that happened and how it happened. Rather than just give me some pickles to fix the issue and tomatoes to fix the issue. She wanted to make sure that I had warm hot and fresh food to feed my family.

“Chicken aficionado here. Star of the show was the wings-large & meaty, very juicy, and at level 3 good & spicy hot. Had the level 2 sandwich-tasty heat, breast was just a tad dry. We shared the garlic cheese curds-Yum! The cornbread fritters were too sweet for me, but others ate them up. Overall, I will recommend and return.“

“This place has good food items depending on what you order. I love their chicken wings. However the fish, not so much. But the service is good. They move quickly, no long waiting for your order. There is seating but I prefer to wait outside. They are quick for call in and online orders. Your food will be hot and ready when you arrive.“

“Been years since I been inside this place for food, then when I seen it back open I went inside to order and what was a walk up window in front was gone and an entire bar magically appeared when I opened the door, didn't look anything like it used to look. I seen vinyl records on the he wall behind the DJ area that was by 1 of the front windows the other front window area looked like a small section for a dance floor. The Bar was in the Rear and yes the still serve the food. It was early afternoon if it was even past noon when I discovered the new renovated "Arkansas Fried Chicken" I can't wait to visit it at night. Ow & check it out.“

“This is the best fast food fried chicken I have ever had. Chicken is an absolute 10/10. The fries were good, but just needed salt. Also the best fast food Mac N cheese ever. Even as good as homemade.

The people inside were extremely nice and homey. All the customers were the same and talked to each other.

“I usually go to the churches on North Grand but this time I went on North Kingshighways and the chicken was fresh my fried okra was cooked fresh also. And the customer service was pleasant. This is where I'll be going for now own. Now the only thing I notice that the chicken was smaller and that's everywhere and that's probably from us still dealing with the pandemic and that's not there fault. Keep up the Great Job.“

“It's been years since I went to Chicken -A-Peel. Honestly, I thought they had closed down, since they put a KFC right across the street. Ouch! But, they're still open and I stopped by twice last month. The food is still great and the service was excellent. I used to go all the time and now that I know they're still open, I will be back again.“
