“Let's start off with the food. Very Good. The Gumbo was jus spicy & seasond enough. The consistency was good too. The Blackened Catfish was again season perfectly and the rice was in point. The Yams, Mac & cheese was good. The Greens was good but the cut was too big. The Salmon was way too dry but that's every place in St Louis. The cornbread is almost like cake but it has a good flavor. The peach cobbler is great and the banana pudding is good but it doesn't have any bananas. The waiting area is tight and the neighborhood has gone down. The wait time is a little long however the food is worth it. It's definitely on my recommend list of places for foodies try in St LouisParking: Street front parking only and two level of steps. Not wheelchair accessible. You might have to wait in your car or on the porch because the waiting room is very tight“
“We stopped by Sister Cities for a late Mardi Gras lunch a few weeks ago, and I was so impressed with my first experience here! I ordered a catfish po’boy with RBR, and both were spectacular. I grabbed a to-go shrimp po’boy to eat later, and it was just as tasty several hours later as it was out of the kitchen!I cannot recommend Sister Cities enough for Cajun food in South St. Louis ?“
“I see you on Great Food Truck Challenge. I'm from central Illinois and thought while I was in the city to see the Cardinals play I would try you out. Your shrimp and grits was wonderful. The grits were so creamy and the shrimps wasn't overly spicy. Your bread pudding, I'm not a big fan of bread pudding but, I heard you bragging about it. If I could get bread pudding like that more often I would eat it. It was so cinnamon and the prairies with caramel heaven in a bowl.“
“Great staff, fun atmosphere, and great music. I went here on a Wednesday when they have a sort of “open mic” that I can only compare to going down to Louisiana to hear everyone jam together. They do not have food on Wednesdays but you can bring in outside food. They also have cocktails, mocktails, THC drinks, CBD drinks, and soft drinks. Definitely a place I’d revisit for a good time.“
“The food, the service (Allen W.), the music.....all AMAZING!!! Since we got into St. Loius for our visit we have been waiting for our "ah-ha" meal and experience and we got it here. Everything was so prefect!!! Thank you, Evangeline's. We will be back.“
“Fried Shrimp was seasoned well and was hot! Hubby had plain wings and even though it's a seafood place, they were seasoned well and hot also. I will definitely be back, and even though our waitress was slow to get our entire order together, she was very sweet.“
“Great Place to dine ? The Cajun boil bag is DELICIOUS! It came with ? corn, ?potatoes, sausage ? and shrimp ? Awwwe Man the broth n sauce in the bag was soo tasteful and full of garlic ? and it came with a side of garlic bread ?Definitely will be eating here again?? and recommending to my friends ?“
“This restaurant is located inside the Soulard Farmer's Market. I had read this before going and planned to check it out.As soon as we entered the market in the main area I could smell the food and it smelled delicious. I shopped around for a bit and go this to go. It's important to know there wasn't any seating around the restaurant, I'm not sure if there is seating somewhere in the market. They had specials of the day including chicken and dumplings. They have all your cajun classics of gumbo, jambalaya, red beans & rice, etc. and the prices are very reasonable. It's hard to pick just one! But I really needed to, so I went with the red beans and rice. I ordered the regular size and it was large - I ate it for 2 meals. It was good, but I like mine really spicy and there wasn't much spice to it. I added jalepenos to mine at home. The sausage was in very large chunks and I cut those down to make them more bite size as well. That said, I'd still order it again and I'd like to try more of their offerings.“
“Last night was our first time visiting Creole with a Splash of Soul. Not only was the food amazing but the customer service was top tier. They were very accommodating and thoughtful as it was my mother’s 78th birthday. We will definitely be back. Thank you for making our evening memorable!“
“Great lunch today at The Mad Crab! Wings were excellent and crispy (always a nice surprise at a seafood place) and the crab boils had everything you could want. The triple x sauce combo is the way to go, and add sausage if it's not already included in your boil. If it wasn't so cold out, I definitely would have ordered a daiquiri. The bibs were a nice touch, and turned out to be necessary!“
“We came here before a theater visit and did drinks and tapas. All our food was excellent as were the drinks. Our server, Nola, was attentive and friendly. She even made sure some of our late arrivals got their food in time for us to head out and make the show. Only ding was that the seats in the booth we sat in were lumpy, torn and taped. It could use some attention and love.“
“Very small place but very busy I ordered chicken strips and shrimp and the shrimp was good but the chicken was alil dry and it was my first time eating there but my food was ready in tens mins like. She said and it was editable I’d try it again sometime maybeParking: It’s a small lot that’s super busy !“
“Will forever love B.O.B. but the amount of tickets they sell really needs to be cut back and this isn't just me but dozens of people who attend concerts there agreeing. You're shoulder to shoulder in there to the point of being very uncomfortable. You should be able to have enough room to at least move through the crowd. Also seems like a fire safety hazard.“
