“For a casual place this had one of the best waiters ever. It was this young guy that I didn't expect to be super attentive cuz Unfortunately The Stereotype is that they won't be. But he barely even had to talk to us he just anticipated our every need and fulfilled it and went on about his business. We didn't even have to ask for to go boxes.

Oh, the food, the bread pudding definitely lives up to its reputation.“

“My boyfriend and I went on a double date to the aquarium and we’re planning on going somewhere else. We looked across the water and decided last minute to hop in. The inside is very vintage, white tablecloth, but the vibes are very cozy and casual. We were served by the ever so lovely Sierra. AND SHE DESERVES HER FLOWERS AND A RAISE. She suggested this amazing wine called the menage a trois, and so kind and personable. We were conversing after the bill and she left a drop of wisdom. “I treat others how I want to be treated.” We will definitely be back soon. 🤍 Oh and get the crawfish étouffée, and the crab spinach dip! “This is a mixed review. First the positives. The waiter Rob was superb. Pleasant personality and attentive but not intrusive. The busboy (I didn’t get his name) was also very professional, nice and efficient. There were six of us in the party and four in the party were happy with their meal.

Now for the shortcomings. I had the tenderloin medallions Oscar. I have honestly never had a tougher cut of meat. It was definitely overcooked. In fact, I asked my wife to try a small piece and she was shocked at how hard it was to chew with it being a tenderloin. The side dish of lyonnaise potatoes were dry and had no seasoning.

My wife had the Queen Cut Prime rib and it, likewise, was not tender in the least. I had a small cut and felt the same way. She did like the side dish of twice baked potatoes, and she really liked the key lime pie.

So, in summary, four of the six were happy. Just two of us weren’t. For the price of the tenderloin medallions and the prime rib entrees, I think the expectation of “tender” is a given with these two entrees. Sadly, the reality did not meet our expectation.

Not a disastrous night by any means, but not a superb one either.

“Most come to the Hill for Italian at the usual places, Zia's, Dominic's and Charlie Gitto's. Most will pass this gem up due to it being in the Drury Plaza hotel, you SHOULDN'T DO THAT. The food is made fresh to order and it clearly shows! The decor is very upscale and perfect for a business lunch or dinner and at $30 per person, a good deal. If you add wine the price will go up but would still be worthwhile due to the quality in evidence.“

“Hi, this morning, I had breakfast at Wakey Wakey. My eggs, waffle, and candied bacon were very good. My friend's citrus yogurt with granola and fruit was fantastic. I didn't even like yogurt, but I do now. My friend shared hers with me. It was fantastic. The only thing better was our waiter, Adam. He did a wonderful job. He answered a zillion questions and brought the food in a timely fashion. I can't tell you how nice he made our Monday morning. We'll be back.“

In years of searching for REAL Mexican food in St Louis, I’ve had many disappointments. This place was absolutely fantastic and pure pleasure for an old Texan. It even made me shhh my wife because I wasn’t willing to remove my focus from the delicacy I was partaking in. Can’t recommend this place enough and haven’t been able to stop telling others about it. “I’ll give it 5 stars cause the food fyre. But the black girl that sit at the register send the phone to voicemail and don’t answer when there is other people in there ordering. Some people come from 20+ minutes away and don’t feel like ordering a waiting. Do better with customer service. The attitude is horrible. Try speaking when others enter into your workplace you chose to work at. I can’t stand rude people with attitudes and it’s always our kind. Do better“

“This review is for the bakery ONLY. Everytime we go to St. Louis, we stop here (We live at the Lake of the Ozarks). The mini custard pies are amazing, try the fried, sesame seed balls which are filled with two different kinds of bean custard, both are delicious.
The yeast buns are stuffed with a variety of sweets and cheeses and are killer. On the right side of the shop as you enter, there are usually a few versions of the Dim Sum they serve next door in the restaurant and they are all DELICIOUS!

I've purchased the Duck & the deep fried pork hanging in the window, several times & it's been legit. We buy half a duck because there's only 3 of us, but plenty. I always order a small order of their rice so we can eat our duck at the hotel.
It can be VERY crowded on the weekends, so come as soon as they open. There's usually only the one lady working the register and dude chopping up the duck & pork, but they're fast. A++++ It's not cheap but it's soooo worth it.“

“Recently ate there, really by accident, we had tickets for an early performance at the Fox theater, but had no reservations. Had waited at another restaurant which was clear we would not have time to eat, and catch the performance. So we went across the street to try Gary’s. The 5 of us got right in, our waiter was fantastic, he was so talented, and great with my granddaughters. Ate a wonderful meal, everyone liked their selection. We did not have time for dessert so the waiter brought us each of us over a piece of chocolate cake with our meals.😊 we will be going back to Gary’s, because of the service and food. “The food here is absolutely incredible. The green chile pork is amazing. Meat it's fall apart tender and the flavor is full and robust. We also had the steak milenesa. It had a great crust and fork tender with great flavor. NOTHING was bad. Service matches the flavor. Food came fast, and the waitress made our dinner a great experience.
