“We wanted Italian food and we decided to go on the hill to Zia‘s. We ordered pasta dishes, which was extremely nice portion size. The bread was delicious when you dip it in olive oil. I also had the French martini which was delicious. I think if you have a taste for Italian food pasta, you couldn’t find a better place.“

“This is one of my favorite places to eat at in Soullourd especially when I want some oysters, it is a really cool spot. They have great music in bands that perform. I love the atmosphere in the people. I've been going for so many years. And they're still number one in my book.

Dietary restrictions: They do post the restrictions that they have, and you can change up exactly how you want it with no problem.

Parking: When it comes to parking, there is a lot of parking. It depends on how early you get there and also The Times but I'm usually getting a spot right in front or on the back parking lot..

Kid-friendliness: I really haven't seen a lot of kids coming there only a few. So I guess it just depends on your preference if you want to bring them or not.
But I don't really no about that.

Wheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible, but it's also of every tight. Squeeze as well, but out on the patio. There would be no problem at all. In the bar area, depending on the night, I think it would be difficult.“

“Still new and finishing work, such as installing the big TV they had in box still behind the counter. Anyhow, the server I think doesn't speak much English and was a bit disorganized. The food was very good, slightly spicy on some things(which I like), loads of flavors. Rice was a bit bland and dry, but otherwise good. I recommend the roast beef(note :this is not American style food) I'd say Ethiopian/Somalian , but I'm not sure.“

“My friend and I have visited twice. The menu changed from the first visit, and while it was great the first time, the apps on the current menu are really fun and tasty.

Both times, it was really hard to decide what to order because all the food sounded so good based on descriptions. Staff was kind, helpful and patient, even allowing tastes of wine to decide which bottle to get.

The pizzas are amazing - a specialty no doubt. Light crust and tasty variety.

Plenty of vegetarian and pescatarian options.

The elevated side patio is a great option. Cozy but not awkward, with just the right volume of music and spacing between tables.

I stopped eating gizzards years ago because of London and Sons failure to hold good food after the passing of the throan, no one had gizzards like them. “First time visit. Went for our anniversary. The attention to detail was excellent. We've spent a lot more at similar steakhouses and haven't had nearly the wonderful experience as we had here! Being seated by the manager was a nice touch. Prior to going, the only thing we knew was that it was attached to a Holiday Inn, which made us suspect and we thought we'd be severely disappointed. But since it got a good rating on Yelp we chanced it-- we're so glad we did! The cocktails were delicious and interesting. The wine list superb. We LOVED the salads that arrived "family style"- a Caesar and a mixed-greens salad choice. They came with homemade dressings that I wanted to drink from the bowls! Our steaks were cooked to our liking. I ordered the filet Oscar style and it was delicious! There were many choices of sides from which to choose. We ordered the whipped potatoes, asparagus, and the pepper cream sauce for my wife's filet and they were all yummy! Finally, we were given a free large slice of their "wedding cake" (vanilla cake with a phenomenal almond buttercream frosting) for dessert and devoured it! Don't hesitate going here. We think you'll enjoy it as much as we did!!“

My wife got pork chops, which was great. Twice baked potatoes were great. The salad was good. Toasted ravioli was just ok. Desert cheesecake was good. apple pie was good.
Wish they had booths, not a big fan of tables will for sure go back.

“This is a place that my inner grandpa not only loves, but craves. The food is of a kind that used to be ubiquitous and is now nearly extinct: excellent, unpretentious and plentiful homestyle American food served on plastic plates with enough for two meals at a price point that rivals terrible fast food options for a full meal. Though they are famous for their fried chicken, I check their specials regularly for the meatloaf and the Polish sausage, and my go-to is their Chicken Fried Steak, the best in the city by a long shot in my opinion. I always get exactly what I expect and love every fork full, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. This is legitimately one of my favorite places to eat in Saint Louis.“

“Decided to treat my daughter and granddaughter to luncheon today. I chose Red Lobster since I hadn't been in a long time. Boy did they enjoy their meals. Everything wasn't to their taste. Some of the sauces were heavy handed. I enjoyed my stuffed Flounder & mashed potatoes but slaw not so much. Our waitress was great ? very personable. She was kept busy. Someones baby wasn't Happy till it was time to leave. Atmosphere was cordial and we had a nice outside view where we sat. Great get together,me and my Girls. I'm Blessed.

Had waited at another restaurant which was clear we would not have time to eat, and catch the performance. So we went across the street to try Gary’s. The 5 of us got right in, our waiter was fantastic, he was so talented, and great with my granddaughters. Ate a wonderful meal, everyone liked their selection. “Let me just preface this by saying I moved here from South Texas and have spent more than my fair share of time in Old Mexico. In years of searching for REAL Mexican food in St Louis, I’ve had many disappointments. This place was absolutely fantastic and pure pleasure for an old Texan. It even made me shhh my wife because I wasn’t willing to remove my focus from the delicacy I was partaking in. Can’t recommend this place enough and haven’t been able to stop telling others about it. I’ll be a permanent fixture there for sure.“

“This China King is under New Management and when I tell you I went at the beginning of November 2024, ordered Chicken Egg foo yu and Fried gizzards .... DELICIOUS!!! The gravy on the Chicken egg foo yu is so good and their Fried gizzards are the best in St Louis, they practically melt in your mouth and the onions help make the flavor. And the food was fresh, hot and soooo good. This husband and wife team know how to cook, they are respectful and kind, and have not only my respect but will have my business from now on. Thank you!!! “Worth the wait! My wife and I were so excited to find that they opened so close to us. Love having them in the neighborhood. The owners were so kind and the sushi was fresh and delicious. We got the nigiri special, a red dragon roll, golden dragon roll, and the kabocha tempura.“

“A review mostly about their durian cake: Took a chance and was quite pleased by the outcome. Real durian chunks mixed with durian cream in the center layer with typical not-to-sweet whipped cream outer layer and topping with some fruits. The cake consistency was similar to your typical castella or sponge cake. Very bouncy and light.

Amazingly quick turnaround. I called right when they opened and they had it ready for pick up same day at 4 pm.

They also offer taro fruit cake but the manager recommends calling at least a day or two prior for preparation. Will have to try that one next to relive my childhood taro cake memories :)
