“There are not enough stars to rate Katie’s. I needed a place to accommodate a large but unconfirmed number of guests for my husband’s retirement lunch. I spoke with Janelle a few times and she listened to everything I had to say. I was concerned about people traveling from all over and not having a precise headcount. We opted for a reservation in the main dining area and Janelle, Simon and the entire staff exceeded every expectation I could have had. They helped move tables around as more people showed up, they gave great food recommendations and were overall just very helpful and personable. They even treated our group to complimentary tiramisu and ricotta donuts. The mascarpone crema was incredible. I don’t know when we will be back in St. Louis but Katie’s is already on the agenda! Thank you again for such a wonderful experience!“

“FINALLY! Somewhere in St. Louis knows how to make a burger right. This is seriously the best burger and fries the city has to offer, and their menu is appropriately priced. I was also pleasantly surprised they carry Delirium Tremens. They have a super laid back atmosphere to boot - play some pool while you're there! Definitely don't sleep on The Drawing Board.“

Go around to the patio bar and check it out: amazing sound system built into the wall for that patio bar. Amazing all around. “This is a great little neighborhood bar! It has all of the South City charm and a lively vibe. Drink prices were fair, but they are heavy on the pours, so be aware of that lol We went mainly for the karaoke which was run masterfully! The sound system was very good and it was very entertaining. Everyone watching the karaoke was beyond supportive, clapping and hollering for every person who got up to perform. We live in Soulard and typically drive nearly 40 minutes for karaoke, but I think we have found a great place closer to home! Highly recommend and we will be back soon!“

“Relaxing and fun place to have great food and show off your karaoke skills, on the selected days. I enjoy Jack fish or the lemon pepper wings and the broccoli with cheese. The menu extends beyond fish and chicken but I haven't yet tried anything else.
Throughout the week, the bar offers fun at the pool tables on the billiards side, comedy, dancing, including a variety of slides, and karaoke?. Although the outside of the building appears small, the square footage extends outdoors with plenty of seating and privacy.

“I knew the owners of this place. Rose and Tony. My grandma took me down there when I was two. She ran a run down apt complex right next to there. I can’t believe it is still there. Rose and Tony would come to my house for holidays. I will be visiting there soon. It was a nice little dive bar the last time I was there. I worked at the west and cafe. I think rose and Tony were still alive at that point. Like 30 years ago. Love them and I loved this little bar.“

“Loved this place. My girlfriends and I wondered in during a girls trip and we stayed for the great service and atmosphere. Our bartender was so fun and welcoming. Their food menu was limited but what we did have, the chicken tenders and toasted ravioli, were very good. Everything was well priced. We will definitely be coming back next time we visit the city.“
