“I’ve been coming to grizzly bear for years with friends and family. I love the atmosphere inside and outside. The historical building is absolutely gorgeous. Marie was mine and my sisters bartender and she was so sweet and attentive. Absolutely love her! 10/10 definitely recommend. The wings are delicious and I love playing darts in the front room. “We descended on the HandleBar as a large group of remote coworkers gathering for our annual retreat. We sang, dreams, and ate, and an excellent time was had by all! Karaoke was so much fun, and we got the whole company up to sing Friends in Low Places, and added other singers who were hanging out, too. The vibe was great, the bartender was helpful and kind. “Probably the best roast beef sandwich I have ever had. Nowhere else ever asks how you want it cooked. And the answer is medium rare. Our service was also very nice and attentive. We stopped in for the first time on the way to a concert and this will be one of our places we frequent in the city when we come up from home in Farmington. Only thing I would say is I would turn the lighting up just a tad. I know pubs are supposed to be a little dark and have a warm feeling but some people (me) don’t have great eyesight and I found it a bit difficult to see and read the menu. Never the less we enjoyed our food very much and will be in again soon. Hopefully more than once“

“Visited during the 2026 St. Louis Tionól to watch and listen to sessions performed by the musicians from that event. What an outstanding experience it was. So much outstanding music in almost every corner you went to. Had the bangers and mash since ai was there over lunch and it was excellent. Definitely recommend this place for an authentic Irish pub experience.“

I truly enjoy the lgbtq+/ all-inclusive atmosphere they provide. The music is always top notch, the staff is extremely friendly and quick to serve! They also have a super cute patio and open-air garage area, giving patrons a variety of areas to hang, dance or socialize. They also host some really unique, fun and exciting events that Ive thoroughly enjoyed attending or vending with my business. This Bar is definitely a hidden GEM in St. Louis!“

“Great pinball bar!! The selection of pinball games is excellent. Bartender was a little to boisterous, but still nice. We went on a Saturday night, it was dead... let me tell you why. Karaoke, and it was HORRIBLE. Not that having karaoke is horrible, it's the few people that were there that couldn't sing. You could tell it was a few regulars and that's what is keeping more people from coming. We left because it was so bad. Will definitely be back though when no karaoke is going on“

“Stayed in Air BnB across the street awhile back for the wwe Royal Rumble. My brother and I ate here everyday, drank here at night. Laid back atmosphere. I wanted to purchase a shirt and they didn’t have my size, owner went out of his way to go dig and find me one. 10/10 recommend.“

Haven't bought food from here but their drinks pretty good and affordable.
The ambience is nice, relatively spacey outdoors, kinda tight indoors, seats and tables outside* available. Friends have hosted parties* here before and it went well both times. The place gets loud from people's voices when you're outside, live music often playing indoor.
Bartenders pretty nice. They have bathrooms on lower floor and upper floor.
They have a pet turtle you often see hanging out in the water 🐢“

“I came for St Patrick’s day, let me tell you their St. Patrick’s day celebration was amazing! Their bartender Tracy made the corn beef and cabbage, let me tell you do did not think I liked either item but wow! The meat was savory and juicy and cooked to absolute perfection. The carrots, omg i cannot believe carrots can taste so yummy! The vibe was fun and celebratory and they had an Irish band! The amazing meal was included with the price of a drink, the owner came over and hung out with us. Just an all around great experience! Thank you Hayden’s!“

“Food was great!!!! But do NOT bring kids who can read!!!! I'm 36 and I would have left if my kids were with me. They allow people to write on the walls which in a 21+ only place it would be okay. But especially in the restroom, I was mortified by the things written all over the walls. Very sexually explicit very inappropriate things. So be warned about this if your child can't read then you should be okay.“

“Great place whether you want to dance or just hang out with friends. Good thing is that there's no cover charge (except for special events); bad thing is that drinks are crazy expensive. We would honestly go way more often if we weren't spending $12-16 per basic drinks like Malibu pineapple. Sidenote: If you're not lucky enough to shuttle or gocart from whence you come, make sure you build in half an hour to find parking and walk to the door. But this is the case for any place in that area. Still, definitely worth affording once a month for the vibe.“
